0:00:35 Brennan: The exterior half pipe begins to open. (cracking stone sounds)

0:00:39 Brennan: (mimics booming) And an enormous pavement golem stands up with the half pipe on top of it.

0:01:09 Brennan: Last we left off, our brave adventurers were at the Durinson Mithril Factory. Now we see they're facing off against- [Zac exhales loudly in shock as Emily begins to laugh and Siobhan looks over]

0:01:19 Zac: (about Emily) She just erased my name on my character- (laughing)

0:01:21 Brennan: (short) Brutal! (Emily laughs)

0:01:24 Brennan: The dwarves, led by (with Scottish accent) Torek Railgrinder, who is the clear leader of the skater group, she is aloft on the half pipe, chanting the name, "Crush, Crush, Crush!" as the pavement golem (stone cracking noises) with the half pipe strapped to its back stands (mimics growling, with a deep voice) to its full height, steadies itself, and begins the combat by marching towards you. First to act is, actually, before the pavement golem goes--

0:01:58 Brennan: Uh, first act in the round is Riz, hiding behind these pallets.

0:02:07 Murph: Cool. (slowly, thinking) I am going to try to, how long would it take me, could I get over, oh, can I shoot her from here?

0:02:23 Murph: Right behind these pallets.

0:02:23 Brennan: Right there? What's the range on that?

0:02:24 Murph: Uh, it should be, it's shortbow, so it should be like 80 feet or something like that? Or 120 feet? Or?

0:02:32 Murph: Yeah, let's just see if it's within range.

0:03:11 Adaine: He said he thinks, I don't think so. Guys, go for the gold, remember? We're not here for blood, we're here for gold.

0:03:20 Kristen: Hey you guys, I saw those owls, and I feel like this isn't really what we're here for. (stone scraping)

0:03:26 Brennan: You see the golem doesn't move very quickly. (mimics booming footsteps) With each step, it kind of wobbles with this huge half pipe on its back, and it takes extra time to step carefully across this bubbling green liquid going through the center of the battlefield, and raises one fist aloft as it walks towards you. That's going to be Kristen's turn.

0:03:50 Kristen: Okay, just remember the last time, I saw that owls have been following us this whole day, so I think we might be getting distracted.

0:03:59 Ally: But just in case, I am going to- (inhales) Run. Um, towards Riz. Just join Riz, I guess. Maybe try to get some cover or something. Uh, cool. Is that too far?

It seems sinister insofar as all vultures seem sinister, but looking into it for a macabre purpose, or if if it is the secret mastermind of this, it's probably just a bird that wants to eat your body.

0:05:27 Zac: Um, I am, uh, Gorgug (chuckles) takes the wrong meaning from this vulture and goes into a rage. (laughing)

0:05:39 Zac: And then Gorgug is gonna move as far, like, over past this towards this guy right here.

0:05:47 Zac: Yeah, to try to--

0:05:50 Brennan: Uh, great. With a dash action, or just with your movement?

0:07:25 Siobhan: Um, I am going to run towards where Kristen is, and then I'm also going to cast Fire Bolt onto the skate ramp that the skaters are on.

0:08:18 Brennan: Uh, Adaine races after Kristen. Kristen, you hit everyone with the light of Bless. You raise your hand, woosh! A bolt of fire rushes from your fingertips, (flame bursts) hits that corner, and the halfpipe catches aflame. (fire crackles)

0:08:32 Adaine: Thank you?

0:08:34 Fig: Whoa, did you just give her Bardic Inspiration?

0:08:36 Kristen: No, no, I was just, uh--

0:08:37 Adaine: (to Fig) That's the second time she's winked at me.

0:08:40 Kristen: Oh, 'cause that one was the bless one.

0:08:41 Adaine: Oh, right.

You notice all the dwarves look to the fire (gasps) with almost a look of, like, worry that it's something other than what it is, and they see that it's from your spell, and calm down a little bit.

0:09:34 Lou: I’m going to, I'm going to ready an attack, and I shout to my companions,

0:09:51 The Hangman: (gravelly, hellish) Master.

0:09:52 Fabian: All right, motorbike, the terrain here does not seem well. How are you on these sorts of, on this kind of precipice?

0:10:00 Fabian: All right, fantastic. Uh, through the golem's legs, then.

0:10:05 The Hangman: Through the legs! (laughing)

0:10:15 Lou: My plan is to, my attack is to spear straight up as I pass through--

0:10:36 Brennan: (motorcycle revving) Uh, you zoom through the fuckin' legs of this thing. Go ahead and make your attack roll.

You skewer to right to where the fuckin' business would be, and as you're going through, the sword connects right where it should hurt the most, and scrapes pavement and stone, (scraping and clanging sounds) what you would expect stabbing a bunch of pavement and stone. Uh, seems impervious to whatever kind of damage your rapier is doing. It takes a swing at your motorcycle as it passes through.

So (mimics zooming) catches you behind the back. You flip through the air, your bike scatters, not destroyed--

0:13:37 Brennan: And is going to, uh, the dwarf grinds along the rail, makes an attack, misses! So (mimics scraping) grinds, gives you all the time in the world to tell what he's doing, leaps up to hit you with the board, and you, woosh, dodge out of the way, lands behind you. Um, these other dwarves, this guy pops up into the half pipe, (skating sounds) skates all the way up, back down, woosh, flips, lands over here.

0:14:12 Brennan: Fires a crossbow at Gorgug, hitting Gorgug for four points of damage.

0:15:48 Brennan: Um, it, uh, you see no recognition of anything in this thing's face. (chuckles) That's going to, as you'r e looking at it for some kind of recognition of the spell or what worked, you hear from the top of the half pipe,

0:16:06 Torek: Dwarves! Those of us who have come here to shred in the halls of our fathers, be thy blessed by Ollie, god of rad shredding! (Ally chuckles)

0:16:21 Brennan: Um, you see (mimics angelic hosts singing) a silvery, steely light covers all of the dwarves and the golem as well.

0:16:34 Emily: Oh, I would also, I also wanted to use my bonus action to wink at someone for some Bardic Inspiration.

0:18:34 Emily: Humiliating that a huge golem couldn't hit a little dude.

0:18:44 Ally: Uh, okay, great. I am going to, um, kind of like run and jump over the pallets. I know this, that's probably an athletics check.

0:18:56 Brennan: Actually, no, 'cause there's a little bit of space there. We can just call it difficult terrain, and you can halve your movement to three squares.

(growls and roars) (splashing) As it corrodes, the halfpipe sinking (splash) into the fucking acid! You guys, both of you guys, fuckin' tear. Voo! And (mimics squealing tires) spin back around. Kristen-- You guys, on the strands of the fucking web, go, woo, through the half pipe and the flame, wah wah wah, and land, boom boom, over here. (cheering)

1:21:32 Kristen: Whoa! (chuckles)

1:21:34 Brennan: The dwarves, the living dwarves turn to face you, all of them standing here with Torek. Fig, it is your turn. Could you kindly give me a performance check?

1:21:45 Emily: A performance check? Okay. (clears throat) I got Bless. Please, this is the most important performance of my life. Okay, I got a 26.

1:21:58 Brennan: 26?!

1:22:00 Murph: What?! You looked so nervous!

1:22:01 Ally: That “okay” was so bummed!

1:22:02 Emily: 17 plus, oh, sorry, 24.

1:22:05 Brennan: Oh.

1:22:05 Ally: Still.

1:22:06 Brennan: Only a 24. You guys have just, you're both standing up here, this fucking Goblin and half-orc. You're like partially singed and flaming. Fabian has Adaine on his bike, you're like covered in magical energy. Kristen, you're also partially ensconced in flames, standing here surrounded by light.The dwarves turn to look at you as their fucking golem sinks and dissolves into the acid. Torek goes,

1:22:31 Torek: Now, you see. (drumsticks clack) (Ally chuckles) (Brennan mimics drumming intensely) [Brennan and Emily drum in the air with their arms, moving enthusiastically] (sustained cymbal crash)

1:22:45 Brennan: The manhole begins to glow. Torek looks and goes,

1:22:47 Torek: Drums. Drums in the deep. (Ally chuckles)

1:22:53 Torek: We shredded too greedily and too swiftly! Our fathers, they unleashed something horrible!

1:23:00 Brennan: The ruby, deep beneath the factory, glows, (crystalline ringing) and you hear-- (mimics electric guitar tuning) (roars)

1:23:09 Emily: Do I have a band? [Brennan reaches beside himself, opening a box]

1:23:11 Siobhan: Oh, my God. He's opening the box!

1:23:14 Brennan: Bursting with you on his back-- (rock music) [A miniature of a large, bright red, muscular demon with wings and flame roiling around it is revealed] (laughing and cheering)

1:23:19 Siobhan: Oh my god!

1:23:21 Lou: What the fuck?

1:23:22 Ally: What the fuck?

1:23:24 Brennan: Bursting forward, an ancient demon of flame and fire. (mimics electric guitar) With the sickest, fuckin’, metalest power chord behind him. (music intensifies) (mimics drumming) And you appear here, your smoking drumsticks in your hand.

1:23:41 Fig: What's up? (laughs)

1:23:44 Kristen: Who the fuck is that?

1:23:45 Fabian: Who the fuck is that, Fig?

1:23:46 Riz: This is awesome.

1:23:47 Fig: It's probably my dad! (looks down) Daddy?

1:23:50 Brennan: You see the dwarves all go,

1:23:52 Dwarf: It has awoken!

1:23:54 Brennan: And fuckin' skate the hell outta here. (skateboards rushing) They grab their friend and fuckin' peace. [Emily mimes tapping drumsticks together on beat]

1:24:03 Brennan: (mimics whip lashing) (growling and roaring) Fiery whip crack. (whip) (screeching) Uh, you descend from the thing's shoulder. (roaring) (speaker feedback) (metal rock music ends)

1:24:23 Demon: (rasping, deep voice) Fig?

1:24:24 Fig: Daddy?

1:24:26 Demon: Oh, oh, God. Oh, oh my God. Hey, kiddo. I, how? Did you just play that fuckin' sick drum solo?

1:24:44 Fig: That was me, I'm sick at the drums.

1:24:46 Fabian: (stammers) Should we give them a moment? We'll take a couple of steps back in the corner.

1:24:51 Emily: I go to hug his huge fucking quad. (laughing) [Emily mimes wrapping her arms around something in a hug]

1:24:54 Ally: Can I do, like, an insight check to see if that's really her dad? Yeah, 19, one. Yeah, high.

1:25:01 Brennan: Uh, there's a lot of complex emotions going on right here.

1:25:04 Murph: You got a 27.

1:25:04 Brennan: 27?

1:25:06 Ally: I got a 27, yeah.

1:25:07 Brennan: There's like a lot of guilt, and there's like a lot of love.

1:25:29 Brennan: Rivers of flame (sizzling) trace down the massive face. The golem finishes dissolving. (Emily laughs)

1:25:37 Fabian: (quietly) What the fuck is happening?

1:25:39 Gorthalax: (to Fig) Uh, kiddo, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.

1:25:47 Fig: It's okay. I mean, you missed a lot of stuff, but I'll tell you all about it.

1:25:53 Fig: Yeah, totally.

1:25:55 Gorthalax: Are these your friends?

1:27:45 Gorthalax: Okay, hey, guys, how 'bout this? Crazy day. I heard some of what was happening up there. That was fuckin' nuts. Did you guys drag that golem into the acid pit? (nodding and “yeah”-ing agreement)

1:27:50 Riz: It was super-- it was super sick

1:27:54 Fabian: It was actually Johnny Spells' motorcycle.

1:27:57 Gorthalax: You fuckin' jacked that dude's bike? This kid rules! I don't care who you are, dude.

1:28:00 Fabian: (sheepishly) Oh, stop it, oh please stop, please stop. [Siobhan mimes holding something up and points it towards Brennan]

1:28:04 Adaine: I also have this gross switch-comb that I think is maybe yours?

1:28:08 Gorthalax: I made him put his soul in that! I thought that would be funny to do that.

1:28:10 Fig: Oh! Throw it in the acid if his soul is in it!

1:28:12 Gorgug: Do you want it? Do you want it, his soul?

1:28:14 Gorthalax: I don't really give a sh-- Uh, yeah, let me hang onto it. Uh, tell you what. Long fight, you guys just fuckin' kicked a bunch of ass. Uh, you guys wanna go--

1:28:27 Gorthalax: What's that? Let's go to Basrar's, we can get some ice cream.

1:28:28 Fabian: I'm sorry, you can go to Basrar's? (laughing)

1:28:31 Gorthalax: (growling, serious) Who would stop me?

1:28:32 Fabian: (high-pitched) Okay, let's go to Basrar's!

1:28:34 Adaine: Hey, I just have a quick question. You haven't seen like a rat running around here, have you? Or like a goth kid or anything like that?

1:28:41 Gorthalax: Yeah, there was a rat here a bunch of times.

1:28:43 Gorgug: Is it still here?

1:28:44 Riz: No, like a--

1:28:45 Adaine: Like, right, like a--

1:28:45 Riz: Like somebody's pet rat.

1:28:47 Adaine: Yeah, not like a--

1:28:47 Riz: Not just a regular rat.

1:28:49 Brennan: Uh, you see that he looks around, (fire sparks) summons a weird little flame elemental thing that woosh, shoots out and comes back with a little brown and white rat a moment later.

1:28:59 Zac: Can I do an insight check to see if it's--

1:29:01 Ally: Yeah, I'll do the same thing.

1:29:02 Lou: I’ll also--

1:29:03 Brennan: It is. (chuckles) It is.

1:29:04 Emily: Yeah, okay.

1:29:05 Brennan: It for sure is.

1:29:05 Ally: 20.

1:29:07 Brennan: You see he goes,

1:29:07 Gorthalax: Uh, this?

1:29:10 Fig: Yeah, why do people want it?

1:29:11 Gorthalax: I don't know if they're gonna be down with a rat in the ice cream shop, but we can give it a shot.

1:29:15 Kristen: Yeah, we'll come in with a full demon, but they might draw the line at a rat.

1:29:19 Fabian: Don’t say that, don’t say that. (laughing)

1:29:21 Gorthalax: This kid's got some fucking spine, I dig it. I'm not gonna lie.

1:29:25 Kristen: I'm going through a major change right now.

1:29:27 Gorthalax: Hey, you know what? At your age, that's good, and it's natural. Let's go get some ice cream, huh?

1:29:29 Kristen: (quietly) I like your dad.

1:29:31 Fig: Yeah, can we quick, get that ruby that you were trapped in?

1:29:34 Gorthalax: Nah.

1:29:34 Fig: Really?

1:29:35 Gorthalax: I’ll get, I'll pick it up later.

1:29:36 Fig: Okay, okay, cool. [Brennan talks directly to the camera, putting his hand up in a small wave]

1:30:03 Voice: (rasping) Awakened from ancient slumber, I rise to consume the world of the living. [The music ends as the screen cuts to black]
