He carries a big replica Buster sword from Final Fantasy VII on his back, plus other swords, kunai and ninja throwing stars UC2 E1·01:35:08. He picks cigarette butts up off the ground and relights them UC2 E1·01:36:01. He tells the construction workers at the Queens Center Mall that he worked at the Hot Topic they are destroying, and the cops take his sword UC2 E1·01:38:35 UC2 E1·01:39:25.

Cody is a Hot Topic manager left jobless when the Queens Center Mall closed, and he blames Gladiator UC2 E1·02:15:54 UC2 E2·01:16:18. He reads a Latin page aloud and summons a devil, begs to work for him so they can kill Gladiator and save the mall, and writes "Cody" on the contract UC2 E1·02:19:16 UC2 E1·02:23:32 UC2 E1·02:25:26. Pete turns the devil Bazathrax into a chest tattoo reading "redemption" UC2 E2·01:23:25, and Murph notes that Cody talks out loud when he talks to his devil UC2 E4·00:36:00.
