Cody sneaks back into the empty mall at night and still has his manager key from his years managing this Hot Topic UC2 E1·02:15:15 UC2 E1·02:15:54. Brennan says a strange pentagram unseals at the bottom of the Hot Topic, as if a hidden world had belched out a book there UC2 E1·02:18:45. When Cody reads the book's Latin aloud, the book erupts in flame and a four-and-a-half-foot devil appears UC2 E1·02:19:16 UC2 E1·02:20:46. Cody tells it, "It's where darkness is born, this is Hot Topic" UC2 E1·02:22:12. The devil says, "I'm Lucifer, I'm the real devil" UC2 E1·02:22:44.

In UC2_10 Brennan says "like every Hot Topic" the one at the Queens Center Mall was an infernal gateway UC2 E10·00:20:34.
