On a civic building the motto is being erased letter by letter: Brennan says the fifth letter of the first word has gone and only four letters remain UC2 E10·02:17:42. Pete says "Null, nothing" UC2 E10·02:18:02. When his True Sight stops the erasing, the word "Null" rings in his head, and Brennan says "You have a name" UC2 E10·02:19:26.
Pete learns the name Null in UC2_10, when the word rings in his head after his True Sight stops something being erased UC2 E10·02:19:26. In Pete's dream in UC2_11 it speaks in static, says it is not afraid of anything, and tells him "There's no such thing as Nod" UC2 E11·01:06:25 UC2 E11·01:02:38 UC2 E11·01:04:08. Brennan says there was a time when Null was everything, and what it wants is a return to that state UC2 E11·00:08:19. Kugrash says Gladiator is a real company and Null is taking advantage of it UC2 E13·00:17:10.
Null appears as a colorless silhouette blotting out color, and Brennan calls it the barest tip of a claw of a monstrosity from beyond dreaming UC2 E14·01:40:07 UC2 E14·01:41:13. Iga's Suggestion fails, and Null says "I cannot be swayed" UC2 E14·02:12:11 UC2 E14·02:12:19. Brennan says they are fighting "a tentacle of a kraken that is still out in the ocean" and that it banishes Iga UC2 E15·00:05:23 UC2 E15·00:20:31. It cannot be in the waking world physically unless the world is suffused with raw umbra, and Sofia sees it approaching UC2 E16·00:13:37 UC2 E16·02:19:39. It appears in the center of the burlesque room UC2 E17·02:29:28.
In the finale Null dispels Sofia's darkness with its legendary actions, and the city turning against Gladiator hurts it UC2 E18·00:17:28 UC2 E18·00:53:09. Brennan says the dragon being back is the thing that repels Null, and Null vomits up Iga UC2 E18·01:00:38. Brennan says raw umbra is the only thing keeping Null there, and "Null vanishes in this moment" UC2 E18·01:27:16 UC2 E18·00:58:23. He adds that "that arm of Null is still out there in the world" UC2 E18·01:42:24.
