Mice & Murder, episode 1: It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

On a stormy night in 1905 the weasel Gangie Green digs up a goat's grave in Tufting Meadows to steal the body, while the widow Catherine McCabbage begs the owl Vicar Ian Prescott to find whoever murdered her husband Connor. Next morning in London the fox Detective Sylvester Cross reads that Scotland Yard has closed the McCabbage case as an accident, his first uncracked case, and receives an invitation from Squire William Brockhollow ("Squire Badger") to his 60th birthday at Loam Hall, and the Doberman Lars Vandenchomp has already accepted for them both. On the train the Texas javelina Buckster $. Boyd and the raccoon Daisy D'umpstaire plan to invent a guest list, and at the manor Buckster pays Gangie and takes a list of robbed graves. At the banquet the squire gives a speech, the newspaper magnate Lawrence Longfoot announces the Brockhollow Estate's gift of over 150,000 pounds to the church, and Sylvester publicly returns his fee. When Longfoot's camera flashes, Buckster alone notices a moment of darkness, the butler Gilfoyle suddenly gone and a shape in the rain; as three cheers go up for Sylvester, he and Daisy lock eyes across the room until she looks away and leaves. 00:00:18–01:43:03

Mice & Murder, episode 2: A Scandal in Britannia

A flashback twelve years earlier shows how Sylvester and Daisy met on a train through the Alps, chasing a stolen diadem. Their partnership turned to romance and a proposal, until the day before the wedding Sylvester found documents in her hotel room showing she had passed his investigations' information to the shadowy and powerful; he forgave her, but she never came to the chapel, and at home he found only her deerstalker hat and a note signed "-D". Back at Loam Hall the party splits up: Sylvester and Buckster form a coded alliance against the squire, Buckster bribes two eavesdropping maids, and Daisy notices the seance room has been retrofitted and its badger portrait bolted to the wall. Gangie eats with the staff and overhears Gilfoyle and the foreman Harding quarrelling about a man hired at the estate. After a tense dinner Buckster reads in a letter from Harding that the squire is selling his stake in BB Industries to Hazel Hogswallop; in a flash of lightning Sylvester sees Fletcher Cottonbottom on the dock, then lightning strikes the tower and a scream sounds. The guests find Mrs. Molesly, hands bloody, kneeling over the dead squire, who holds a bloody knife beside an open wound in his chest; she says he dug into his own chest, and with all eyes on him Sylvester says, "Lady Lucretia… I've seen a ghost." 02:22:59 00:00:33–02:23:28

Mice & Murder, episode 3: A Time For Clues

Another flashback shows Sylvester's archrival Fletcher Cottonbottom, a white rabbit with a pipe, chaining Sylvester to his own wrist and leaping with him into the falls at Rickenbunny Falls. Back at the scene Sylvester takes charge, has Lars secure the doors and reads the study: a messy wound, a pronghorn-bone knife and a note; later, before the gathered guests, he names the smell of ozone and Colonel Hawkins finds a secret door behind a bookcase. Meanwhile Daisy steals the note and, seen only by Sylvester, lifts a key on red silk from the squire's pocket. Guests accuse Mrs. Molesly, whose lapse after a camera flash Dr. Magpie explains as epilepsy, and then accuse Gangie, Ian, Buckster, Daisy and Sylvester himself. The gathering ends with Gilfoyle leaving and the party left with Mrs. Molesly, Dr. Magpie and Constance; Daisy wonders aloud whether the body is really the squire's, and Sylvester confesses to Lars that Cottonbottom terrifies him. 00:00:34–02:00:13

Mice & Murder, episode 4: The Stabber of the Evening

Left in the study, Gangie recalls the history of the Cottonbottom family and of Sylvester's feud with Fletcher. The group splinters: Buckster recruits Sylvester and tells him Gangie is a grave robber and his informant, Ian bungles the dead squire's last rites, and Buckster sees his own missing knife in the squire's hands. Lars finds the new kitchen wing, with a switched-off freight elevator, and overhears the mouse maids Edwina and Carolyn. Daisy discovers that the eyes of the seance room portrait swivel, and when Sylvester and Gangie follow her and quarrel over the key, she hurls a crystal ball into Sylvester's head. Reunited in the seance room, they trade information: the portrait hides the squire's real study, Lars finds "one of three" written on the stone behind it, and no police have arrived. They plan two groups, one for the study and one for the elevator, as Lucretia, guarding the door, asks whether they gleaned any wisdom from the deceased. 00:00:33–01:49:55

Mice & Murder, episode 5: The Eye of the Storm

Lars, Gangie and Buckster find the kitchen-wing elevator, turn on the breaker Gilfoyle had switched off and ride up to a tower door open onto the rain, where a masked figure attacks. In the study Sylvester, examining the body with Dr. Magpie, pulls Bavarian shrapnel from the Schnauzer War out of the squire's heart and concludes he was trying to dig it out when an electromagnetic event drove it in, while Daisy finds a "p318" bookmark and a live wire in the desk and gets the Chronicles of Barkus Aurelius from the maid Rosalind Crumb. Daisy notes the dead man's eyes match the portrait's, and through the portrait's eye holes she spots Colonel Hawkins stuffing letters into his coat in the squire's secret study. On the hillside the three fight the tall masked figure, who deals Lars 37 damage before Gangie shuts the door and Buckster sends the elevator down; in the kitchen wing Hawkins declares the three under arrest. 00:00:32–01:38:21

Mice & Murder, episode 6: Busted

In the seance room Daisy summons a ghostly mouse who answers to the name Connor McCabbage, says he is trapped and warns of great danger before he vanishes. In the library Daisy and Ian rearrange the busts of Roman emperors to open the way into the secret study, where Daisy takes the Medal of Valor and ledger books, and they find a gyroscope with a powerful electromagnet hidden in the base of the bust of Barkus Aurelius. Hawkins, Gilfoyle and Harding confront Buckster, Gangie and Lars, who flee to the ballroom; Jeremy Brockhollow says no one has authority to arrest them and only asks them to stay in a bedroom. Daisy tells the room that Fletcher Cottonbottom is alive, Sylvester and Dr. Magpie treat the wounded, and Jeremy confides that he has just become half-owner of BB Industries. As Ian tries to draw out Constance, a loud knock at the front door brings a soaked Catherine McCabbage, who says she has seen her Connor. 00:00:34–02:22:31

Mice & Murder, episode 7: I've Been Here the Whole Time

Catherine tells Daisy that she saw her husband glowing in a second-floor window. Daisy finds a trick portrait hiding breakers in a downstairs bathroom, throws one that turns a mirror transparent, follows the wiring and opens the squire's walk-in closet, where she takes Harding's little black book of names. Catherine finds letters in the squire's desk signed "Sylvester Cross". A scream leads the party to the billiards room, where lie bodies taken to be Constance Brockhollow and Dr. Corbin Magpie, with a blood threat and a canine head on the wall. Sylvester admits the letters' handwriting is a perfect match to his own, Gilfoyle accuses him and the staff seize him; constables arrive and manacle him, and Daisy's handing over of the black book gets Harding arrested too. Sylvester is shoved into the oubliette beneath the wine cellar. 00:00:34–02:23:06

Mice & Murder, episode 8: Outfoxed

At about half past one in the morning the remaining party meets in the seance room, puts its cards on the table, and doubts Sylvester is guilty. Buckster hires Gangie for three jobs, and Gangie learns that the "police" are Cottonbottom's old criminals. In the oubliette Sylvester frees his hands with a pick hidden in his hat, and the seance crystal ball lets the party speak with him. A scream brings them to the entrance hall, where they find a body taken to be Lucretia's on the dais, with a blood message and a fox's head. Buckster works out that "three o'clock" is a key position on the elevator, not a time; the party slips past the fake constables, Lars and Sylvester electrocute the policeman at the cellar door to spring Sylvester, and they all descend in the elevator to a mushroom-garden cellar with fresh cat and dog tracks. 00:00:16–01:21:46

Mice & Murder, episode 9: The Belly of the Beast

Riding down, Sylvester tells the party that Fletcher Cottonbottom is the greatest villain he has ever known and "he is the one pulling the strings" 00:14:18. In the secret basement the party opens a padlock with the wrong year from the Barkus Aurelius bust, finds a treasure room of Schnauzer War contraband tying Squire Badger to the Cottonbottom organisation, and a morgue of decoy parts, where Gangie finds that the body there taken for the squire is itself a decoy, with a shard of shrapnel in its chest. Buckster reads the squire's debts and the secret of his Bavarian mission. A ritual chamber holds a blood message signed with a fox symbol and bodies taken to be Jeremy Brockhollow and Osmond Sheffield, which Gangie judges to be decoys. A secret door leads to Gangie's cottage; with the guests cornered in the ballroom, Buckster decides to stay and see it through, and Sylvester sees a knotted rope hanging from the tallest tower window. 00:00:18–02:07:44

Mice & Murder, episode 10: Unfinished Business

The party scatters through Loam Hall. Buckster's diversion lets Daisy reach the tower, where she finds Connor McCabbage alive and chained before a mirror, with Sylvester climbing the rope to join her. At the boathouse Lars knocks out the guard, Lucretia, unbound and alive, opens the door to him, and he frees the bound Constance and Dr. Magpie, and Gangie and Ian rescue Mrs. Molesly. In the tower rain melts the makeup of the newspaperman Lawrence Longfoot, revealing him as Fletcher Cottonbottom, and he shoves Sylvester out of the window. Fletcher flees across the roof, shoots Gangie and dies when Daisy pushes him into the lightning rod, while Sylvester, dying, is revived by Buckster. Constance and Jeremy explain the plot to ruin Sylvester's reputation. Afterwards Gilfoyle reveals he is Inspector Neville Montserrat of Scotland Yard, Buckster offers to finance the Brockhollows, and Daisy tells Sylvester why she left him; he accepts her proposal and Ian marries them. 00:00:18–02:44:30
