United Free Trade Planets

In the first episode Margaret says she works for UFTP, the United Free Trade Planets, as an executive SOE1·01:07:17. Brennan says UFTP owns the Armstrong Roid Removers and a tremendous number of planets SOE1·01:11:07 SOE1·01:13:11. He says the parent company of United Free Trade Planets is Crown and Scepter, founded by the family of the original dread dictator of the Incorporated Elysian Republic SOE1·01:17:52.

United Free Trade Planets is a corporation that owns planets, and Brennan says it is a subsidiary of Crown and Scepter Limited SOE1·01:13:11 SOE6·01:19:20. In the second episode Brennan says more than half the population of Madrugada Station works for it and that the moon's monarchy was bought by UFTP some 40 or 50 cycles back SOE2·01:15:41 SOE2·01:47:21. In the fourth episode Brennan says the people in raspberry metallic suits are UFTP's private security, kill switches rather than soldiers SOE4·01:48:08 SOE4·01:48:19.

In the fifth episode Brennan says UFTP is coming after Margaret's bank accounts to freeze her out SOE5·00:42:22. In the tenth episode he says Margaret is secretly being hunted SOE10·00:45:15, and a later recap says UFTP froze her account and terminated her SOE11·00:05:29. In the twelfth episode Zortch says his home world is being hollowed out by UFTP for lithium SOE12·01:10:22.

In the fifteenth episode King Prilbus tells Margaret that UFTP is not a front for Crown and Scepter and claims it has been "ours" for some time, meaning the cerebro-slug houses SOE15·00:43:50. Lucienne Rex says she talked to the higher ups, who seemed fine with hollowing out Rubian V, and that UFTP is trying to create an artificial lithium shortage SOE15·01:06:00. Brennan's recap says UFTP was the only faction uninterested in capturing Gnosis because it stands to make more money if Gnosis dies SOE16·00:01:28. In the seventeenth episode a squadron of UFTP fighters around a central command ship waits near the Fang of Frangus, and Damien Factor asks for Margaret and demands the surrender of the Princeps Zortch SOE17·00:01:54 SOE17·00:13:08. In the last battle the UFTP flagship surrenders unconditionally SOE18·02:22:35.
