Marienne

In the first episode Marienne appears in Pib's flashback as a kingdom ruled by the Marquis de Carabas, who Brennan says has ascended to the throne and is now also the King of Marienne NA E1·00:53:09. Pib asks Cole about the Kingdom of Marienne, and Cole says he heard it was overrun by giants NA E1·02:00:32 NA E1·02:00:39. Cole calls it one of many lands that have come to ruin and misfortune NA E1·02:00:47.

In the second episode Pib asks the Mirror to show him the Kingdom of Marienne and Brennan describes the vision: the village of Amanti, the manor of the Ogre of Carabas and the royal castle where Tomas the miller's son dwelled as king, reduced to rubble NA E2·00:56:31. In the fourth episode Pib returns to the world of the living running like hell from the fallen kingdom of Marienne NA E4·00:55:10. In the twelfth episode Pib tells Snow White that Marienne was in his first world, and Brennan says it is fallen here as well NA E12·00:53:44 NA E12·00:53:57.

In the fourteenth episode, riding through the now fallen kingdom, Brennan tells Pib the land is not crushed or destroyed but empty, unlike the one from his first life NA E14·00:45:19. Alphonse says the buildings were not crushed by giants, that there are bodies, and that there was a war there NA E14·00:52:29. In the fifteenth episode Pib wonders whether the giants of this world did not destroy Marienne, and so may not be the giants he hated NA E15·01:56:19. In the seventeenth episode the brothers say they remember armies of Snowhold led by Koschei the Deathless coming to Marienne, and that they fled NA E17·00:04:49. Henry says he met a mule in a kingdom called Marienne who told him where to find giants NA E17·00:15:03.

In Pib's epilogue, as Zac tells it, Pib has made the miller's son Prince of Marienne NA E20·02:26:48. Brennan narrates a ball in the Kingdom of Marienne where Minerva walks out with her two daughters to try to get them married NA E20·02:29:29.
