Koschei the Deathless

In the eleventh episode Koschei is only mentioned; he is never seen, and Ylfa asks about a chest the dwarfs carry whether it is Koschei the Deathless NA E11·01:52:55. Arzt says the Tsar of Snowhold is not sending an army, but Koschei, a knight who cannot die, and that the dwarfs went to the island where his death is chained NA E11·01:53:12. He tells the tale of a knight who sealed his death in a needle, put the needle in an egg, the egg in a duck, the duck in a hare, and the hare in the chest NA E11·01:53:58. Arzt says it is the intention of the dwarfs' princess to release the death when Koschei rides over the hill on the morrow NA E11·01:53:44.

Koschei is never seen in the show. In the twelfth episode the dwarfs hand Snow White the chest and Arzt says they have retrieved Koschei's death NA E12·00:21:27. Snow White casts some magic on the chest and says "You have found it true." NA E12·00:22:22 Snow White tells the party that in the morning the Tsar of Snowhold will appear at the edge of the field with Koschei at the head of his knights, ready to cut down her army of dwarves NA E12·00:33:13. In the thirteenth episode Brennan recaps that the party left Snow White and her spectral dwarves to face the Tsar and his champion Koschei NA E13·00:05:40. In the seventeenth episode the brothers remember armies of Snowhold led by Koschei coming to Marienne NA E17·00:04:49.
