Sugar Plum Fairy

The Sugar-Plum Fairy appears at the standing sugar-plum stones as a floating image of a beautiful six-winged fairy in a sugar-plum-leaf dress with long lavender dragonfly wings CC E1·01:43:37. She greets Lapin as "Good chancellor" and tells him that the Count of Freezyberg broke his teacup ward while travelling through the woods CC E1·01:44:53 CC E1·01:44:56. She tells Lapin to protect the king and the princesses CC E1·01:48:11. Brennan says she is a protector guardian spirit of Candia, and that the legends about her do not say that she is evil CC E1·01:51:29.

The Sugar-Plum Fairy is a guardian spirit of Candia and the patron of Lapin, whom she made a warlock in a memory shown later CC E15·00:48:34. In CC_01 she warns him that beyond Candia only the Bulbian Church holds sway CC E1·01:45:49. In CC_02 Jet tells Lapin she knows he is working with the Fairy CC E2·00:11:01. In Comida, a voice in Lapin's ear says "My third wish is for you to come home" and in the next moment Brennan says Lapin is gone CC E6·01:41:41 CC E6·01:41:50.

She next appears at the stones with multiple eyes and six wings, and Brennan says her small, cute look is a glamour over something vast and powerful CC E9·01:39:36 CC E9·01:40:15. After Jet's death she materializes in front of Ruby, says she cannot bring Jet back, and tells her to go north to the Great Stone Candy Mountains, where she is and where Ruby's sister is waiting CC E10·00:09:47 CC E10·00:10:08 CC E10·00:10:56. Later a voice on the wind tells Ruby that things that are wrong may yet be made right and that she awaits her coming CC E11·02:07:12.

In the frozen cavern in the mountains she appears to Ruby and Amethar in a five-foot glamour, which Brennan says is not her true form CC E13·01:50:48. She offers to take Ruby down a road into the mist, where she says the people Ruby misses are waiting CC E13·01:54:25. She says she sent Lapin knowing he would die protecting Ruby and that Ruby would not come until she had lost everything CC E13·01:59:35. Asked whether she killed Ruby's sister, she answers "Would you have come here if she was still alive?" CC E13·02:00:00.

Her true form, with many faces and wings, fights the party on a floating plinth in the mist CC E14·00:03:40. She tells Ruby "Wherever you go, I go" and links a shadow to her CC E14·00:47:15. Ruby drives Flickerish into her heart as she asks whether Ruby can come home with her, and she falls into endless mist CC E14·01:39:18 CC E14·01:39:30 CC E14·01:41:21. Brennan says she had a ninth-level spell left to Wish back all her hit points and was one initiative action from using it CC E14·01:40:25. A memory in CC_15 shows her granting Lapin his first magical powers CC E15·00:48:34.
