Candia

Candia is a kingdom in the realm of Calorum, a land of chocolate chip cookie fields, peppermint forests and, in the north, the Great Stone Candy Mountains CC E1·00:01:38. Sugar cube farmers toil its fields and its fortresses are made of frosting and hard rock candy CC E1·00:01:38. Its banners show the symbol of the House of Rocks, a single swirled candy on a field, flying over Castle Candy CC E1·00:01:38. The story opens on the 20th day of Highbright in the Year of Our Bulb 1215, the Saint's Day of the princesses CC E1·00:01:38.

Candia is the kingdom of the House of Rocks, with Castle Candy flying its banners CC E1·00:01:38, and in the opening Amethar says he is its king CC E1·00:31:19. In CC_03 Calroy calls it "extremely permissive when it comes to magic," and says it had a canonized princess of the Bulbian Church and another princess given the title archmage CC E3·00:04:20. In CC_06 Brennan's recap says that with the crown passing to Duke Joren Jawbreaker, Candia is immediately withdrawn from the Concord and at war with it CC E6·00:00:57. In CC_08 Cumulous says he is a cousin of Amethar and is there to protect the magic of Candia CC E8·00:34:56.

In CC_13 Brennan says the lowlands of Candia are completely taken over by House Cruller, whose flag flies over Castle Candy CC E13·00:35:38. In CC_14 Theobald calls Saccharina's people "an army of the people of Candia" and says there is a chance to bring magic back CC E14·01:50:29. In CC_17 Brennan says that after Lapin's vision fades a new age of a vast and magical Candia is born, with Amethar embracing his title as Emperor in Comida CC E17·02:12:53. He also describes Saccharina as the new and powerful Witch Queen of Candia, with her parents ruling the Concord from Comida CC E17·02:23:33.
