Comida

Comida is named in Brennan's opening narration with the Great Pyramid of Food, and it is the city from which the Concordant Emperor rules the six kingdoms of Calorum CC E1·00:00:00 CC E1·01:17:20. Brennan says the Great Pyramid of Food and the Concordant Throne are in Comida CC E1·01:26:58. Caramelinda tells the princesses that a royal caravan will leave for Comida the next morning, because their father has been summoned by the Concordant Emperor CC E1·01:26:05.

Brennan says Comida has been the capital of the Concordant Empire for twenty years CC E3·00:56:19. The Candian caravan travels toward it in CC_02, going down the Sucrosi Road to meet its Imperial escorts CC E2·00:00:44. When the party arrives, Brennan describes golden spires of grain and leafy cathedrals, and then the Cornucopian Hall, a horn-of-plenty building CC E3·00:55:18 CC E3·00:56:19. Brennan says the city has been the capital for twenty years, that the Concordant Empire levies 20 percent of the taxes of every other kingdom, and that all that wealth pours into Comida CC E3·00:56:19.

After the fight in the cathedral of Saint Arugula, the party runs through the streets of Comida CC E6·01:36:56 CC E6·01:42:24. In CC_07, Brennan says Comida is not a walled city but has garrisons in the countryside, and that Imperial banners are already on the road east out of the city CC E7·00:46:22.

In Brennan's epilogue, a feast in Comida celebrates Amethar of the House of Rocks embracing his title as Emperor CC E17·02:12:53.
