Rats (Unsleeping City)

The rats of the Unsleeping City first appear when they announce "the king has returned!" UC E3·01:46:47.

The rats are the Rat King's people, who chant "The king has returned" and report to the false Rat King, "Sire, the cheese" UC E4·00:00:53 UC E4·00:39:33. Most end as a pile of drowned rats UC E4·01:23:39. Kugrash's crown summons rat swarms that say "The Rat King calls and his people shall answer!" and "Though we be but little, we are fierce!" UC E6·00:15:17 UC E6·01:08:17.

Four swarms serve him against Epona: "We serve at the pleasure of the rat king" UC E8·00:05:19. Their farewell is "Safe voyage king. May our kingdom live long" UC E8·01:37:08. They salute Kugrash as "Chosen of the rat king" UC E10·01:30:30. In the Moses fight the rats scatter and vanish UC E14·00:04:43 UC E14·01:00:54. In the last battle they ride the party and jump the Dream, speaking in high voices, "We love you!" UC E16·01:05:08 UC E17·00:10:17.
