Ruben Hopclap is a gnomish emo bard and junior, introduced with the card "Emo Bard" S3E3·00:46:22. He has a tattoo of a rat getting crushed by gears S3E3·01:44:58. A tiny gnomish voice on an emo song on the radio is heard earlier S3E3·00:18:57, and "Wanda" tells him he has been rocking her radio all summer S3E3·01:42:42.

Ruben Hopclap is a gnomish Rat Grinder bard and the front man of My Clerical Gnomance, with a song called "In Space, No One Can Feel You Dying." S3E4·00:02:58, S3E9·00:01:15. Lashra says he is headlining at Frosty Fair S3E7·01:52:57, and he is revealed as a smirking Ruben when an illusion fades, saying he likes to put on a disguise and wander S3E8·00:59:29, S3E8·00:59:44. He is held by Hold Person, apparently cast by Grix S3E9·00:21:37, and comes out when the air elemental breaks it S3E9·00:22:14, and he runs off after Wanda S3E9·00:39:42.

Ruben says Lucy Frostblade "was in my adventuring party" S3E10·01:53:42. He is the nephew of Henry Hopclap, and in his dream blood seeps from his mouth S3E11·01:08:29, S3E11·00:55:29. Lola reports that Ruben just canceled S3E14·01:07:57, and in another dream he appears as a frightened Ruben with a puka shell necklace and a little ukulele S3E17·00:28:39.

In the finale he raises a power chord for Box of Doom, a 9th level spell S3E19·00:58:19, and later Psychic Scream S3E19·01:01:14. Brennan says he is casting Dominate Person S3E19·01:39:57, and Mazey has Dominate Person on her from Ruben S3E19·01:47:59. Ruben says "You're killing my friends! I had to Psychic Scream!" S3E19·01:11:01. Fig tells him "There's a place for you in Hell", and Brennan shows Ruben falling S3E19·02:05:11, S3E19·02:05:17.
