Ruby grabs two blades from Sir Keradin Deeproot, the assassin, in the Imperial box during the tournament CC E4·01:25:56 CC E4·01:26:03. In CC_05 Brennan lists them in the inventory as "particularly poisonous to Candians" and dissolving the very substance of their bodies, and Ruby gives one of the two to Jet CC E5·00:01:12 CC E5·00:01:24.

In CC_06 Brennan says each dagger calls for three DC 15 Constitution saving throws, with a Silence effect, the poisoned condition, and 8d6 damage to Candians or 4d6 to everybody else CC E6·00:03:44. Jet uses her water dagger with a feinting attack on the Pontifex and adds 4d6 for the dagger CC E6·00:11:00 CC E6·00:11:23. In CC_09 Jet says she used hers on the Pontifex, while Ruby says she still has hers CC E9·02:12:01 CC E9·02:12:05. In CC_10 Ciabatta says it is a shame that he has no more of the daggers and that he should have got the secret from Alfredi before she died CC E10·00:15:17. In CC_17 Ruby unsheathes her water steel dagger and uses it on a flanked enemy, who rolls a natural 4 on his Constitution save CC E17·01:43:28 CC E17·01:43:51.
