Jimmy the Snout

In the third episode Brennan says a big public screen in the Vale of Tiers on Rec 97 shows Rootersnoos, a Rec Station news broadcast with a 1950s-looking red-haired news anchor with a big cybernetic eye SOE3·00:51:18. The anchor says "This is Rootersnoos Ferret, Jimmy the Snout, coming to you live", and reports on a possible open rebellion on Rubian V SOE3·00:52:28. The broadcast then cuts to "three hours of tweets" SOE3·00:52:57.

In the third episode Jimmy the Snout, Rootersnoos Ferret, is the red-haired news anchor with a cybernetic eye on the Rec Station news SOE3·00:51:18, who introduces himself: "This is Rootersnoos Ferret, Jimmy the Snout, coming to you live" SOE3·00:52:28. In the fourth episode Brennan says his dais is destroyed when Aurora Nebbins surges through it into hundreds of onlookers, and a bunch of Rootersnoos cameras turn on the crew SOE4·02:49:09. In the fifth episode Brennan says a very wise Rootersnoos ferret once told Margaret at the Platinum Cog Leadership Summit "in this galaxy, there's always less going on than meets the eye" SOE5·00:44:48.

In the tenth episode a taxicab TV newscast with Jimmy the Snout reports first shots fired on Rubian V SOE10·00:58:43. In the thirteenth episode Jimmy reports from Madrugada Station above Rubian V, where billions of pilgrims have come to stop the outbreak of violence SOE13·00:15:27. He opens Battle of the Brands with Chip Hatwell, saying "Good evening and welcome to Battle of the Brands" SOE13·00:35:04, and in the fourteenth episode says "it's rare to see a fight like this, if they were down but not out, and they came back" SOE14·00:47:48.

In the seventeenth episode Jimmy appears on a private comm to Margaret saying "coming to you live in a personal communique, just me and you" SOE17·01:19:05. In the last episode he says "Folks, you gotta see it to believe it The Wurst, perhaps misaptly named" SOE18·03:07:16.
