The glass shard
In the second episode a page in Mother Goose's book shows a charcoal picture of a long, crystalline shard of glass, like a spear, dripping with some kind of ichor NA E2·01:33:08. Ally, as Timothy, tells the others they are looking for the glass shard, which is probably part of the glass slipper NA E2·02:10:40.
In the third episode Ylfa reminds the party that they are there to get the shard, and Brennan describes the Fairy Godmother with the shard in her chest NA E3·00:05:18 NA E3·01:13:34. Brennan rules that it weighs more than ten pounds, and Gerard pulls it from the Fairy Godmother with all his might and drives it into his own chest, so the entire party is down NA E3·01:15:58 NA E3·01:57:43 NA E3·01:57:54. The Fairy Godmother dies in an explosion of light NA E3·01:58:18.
In the fourth episode Gerard floats in water with a shock of glass erupting from his chest, and cannot pull it out NA E4·01:48:16. A fairy tells him she cannot touch it, and that when he comes back any of his mortal friends should be able to remove it NA E4·01:59:05 NA E4·02:00:44. In the fifth episode Gerard says they told him he could contact the fairy if he took the shard to the woods, and Ylfa shows the shard she took out of Gerard's frog chest, which the party calls Gerard's Shard NA E5·00:33:13 NA E5·00:46:50 NA E5·00:46:56. When the shard is tipped onto a page of Mother Goose's book, the book swallows it and shows a glass slipper, and a different story begins to appear NA E5·00:59:24. At the end of that story, two pages later, there is an illustration of the glass shard NA E5·01:00:23. In the ninth episode Brennan confirms the shard has gone into the book NA E9·02:17:47.
