Fairy Godmother

Brennan describes the Fairy Godmother as a sickly green, crown-wearing fairy standing in the opening of a rotting pumpkin carriage, with a glass spear jutting from her chest, the wound scabbed over where it rests lodged in her heart NA E2·02:28:37. He says she looks like something neither living nor dead, and that she is surrounded by half-transformed objects serving her NA E2·02:28:37. Her voice orders her servants to attention because there are interlopers nearby, saying her little helpers have told her of a rabbit and a ram moving through the wood NA E2·02:23:26.

Earlier in the second episode, mice in an abandoned house tell a story of a fairy who told a princess to get back to the way things were, and of the princess driving a spear of glass through that fairy's heart NA E2·02:00:49. Ylfa concludes "Cinderella killed the godmother." NA E2·02:01:33 The Fairy Godmother hovers undead near her pumpkin carriage in the third episode NA E3·00:12:55. She says to Rosamund "A princess! What a charming girl. You've been touched by fairy magic yourself." NA E3·00:12:55 Gerard recognises her as the fairy who turned him into a frog NA E3·00:49:44. She greets him with "It's been a long time, your highness." NA E3·01:38:36 Crying "Magic was never yours, magic is ours!", she drops Pinocchio to zero hit points with her wand NA E3·01:04:57. She tells Gerard "we are here to help you" as he pulls at the glass shard and stabs himself with it, and Brennan says the Fairy Godmother is dead in an explosion of light, though her objects do not disanimate NA E3·01:57:43 NA E3·01:57:54 NA E3·01:58:18.

In the ninth episode Turquina says Cinderella threw a shard of glass into Cinderella's godmother's chest, and the hurt and betrayal drove her to try to raise an army of objects in the woods NA E9·00:44:21. In the finale she is among the fairies in the Canonade, and hits Gerard for seven radiant damage NA E20·00:05:58. She orders "Quickly! Destroy the book holders!" NA E20·00:39:14 Gerard, using Rosamund's book, sucks her into the book, and Brennan says the Fairy Godmother is no more NA E20·01:05:48. In the farewells Brennan describes her and the Wicked Fairy flying bashfully out through the pages, collecting their sisters NA E20·02:15:18.
