In the first episode Brennan opens the season by saying they enter AnarchEra 220 SOE1·00:02:33. Dr. Barry speaks of approaching the 200th cycle of Anarch Era following the downfall of the Incorporated Elysian Republic SOE1·00:40:05.
AnarchEra is the era in which the story is set: Brennan opens the season in AnarchEra 220 and Dr. Barry places it after the downfall of the Incorporated Elysian Republic SOE1·00:02:33 SOE1·00:40:05. In the third episode Brennan tells the players that the galaxy in AnarchEra is lawless by definition and that they are living in it SOE3·00:02:51. In the eighth episode his narration begins "Another glorious day in AnarchEra" SOE8·01:26:57.
In the thirteenth episode he says that Acme-Ashmun's earlier strategy of pursuing big faction contracts belonged to an outmoded cycle of AnarchEra SOE13·00:05:44.
