The Wicked Fairy
The Wicked Fairy appears in the first episode in Pinocchio's flashback, as a woman clad in frayed black who comes to his village while the children play under the full moon NA E1·02:08:04. She says "Hello, little children, and welcome, one and all. If it's a game you want, then a game you shall have." NA E1·02:09:05 A white orb like the moon appears in her hand NA E1·02:09:14.
In the seventh episode Brennan says the face in the candle flame is the fairy who came to Amanti and attempted to kill Pinocchio, the one who killed all the people in his village, and calls her the architect of his life's story NA E7·01:31:17 NA E7·01:33:28 NA E7·01:35:46. When the light of the candle and the Sword of Truth falls on the Stepmother's face, Brennan says the wicked fairy screams in pure terror and pulls her own eyes from her head NA E7·01:35:46. In the ninth episode Rosamund recognises her in the Amanti memory NA E9·00:20:54. Turquina says "The Wicked Fairy pulled her eyes out." NA E9·00:43:37 Turquina also says the fairy who killed the villagers of Amanti was doing a ritual she does not practice, and that Pinocchio should not have had the Wicked Fairy's gift NA E9·00:44:21 NA E9·00:45:33. In the eighteenth episode Brennan describes her as moth-faced, with fuzzy antennae and a wide moth-like body, and she tells Rosamund that it is her duty to accept her destiny NA E18·00:53:11 NA E18·00:53:38. In the eighteenth episode she also twists the briars so that they grab the prince's head NA E18·00:55:09. In the finale she fights for the fairies' side: she brings Mira down and tells Rosamund "You know, I always thought that story should've gone my way." NA E20·00:35:00 NA E20·00:35:12 She argues that they "have one chance to set this right, put the stories back the way they were" NA E20·00:56:50. Gerard then sucks her into Rosamund's book, and in the farewells Brennan describes her and the Fairy Godmother flying bashfully out through the pages NA E20·01:06:26 NA E20·02:15:18. In Rosamund's epilogue Brennan has her leap at Rosamund, who kicks her and takes the spindle from her hand NA E20·02:19:00.
