Jack the Giant Killer
He is first only mentioned: the Goose tells Timothy that she gave a golden egg to a boy named Jack, and that in the world Timothy now travels to, this Jack is not his son NA E4·02:10:29 NA E4·02:10:38. The Goose says this Jack was born to poor farming folk far from Timothy's hometown, a lad clever in his own way and prone to stealing from time to time NA E4·02:13:22. She says he took a magical harp, traded a cow to a magician for magic beans, shimmied up a beanstalk and stole from a giant NA E4·02:14:11. She says he killed the giant by chopping the beanstalk while the giant was climbing it NA E4·02:14:49.
The Goose first tells Timothy of this Jack, who in the world Timothy travels to is not his son, who stole a magical harp and climbed a beanstalk for magic beans and who killed the giant by chopping it down NA E4·02:10:38 NA E4·02:14:11 NA E4·02:14:49. In the Baron's office a letter from the Tsar of Snowhold warns that word of working with the giants must not get back to the Giant Killer NA E11·00:32:21. Brennan says Mother Goose remembers that in this world Jack is not his son anymore, and his Legend Lore shows the face of his son climbing a beanstalk, a version who did not grow up with him and Henry NA E11·00:32:56 NA E11·00:33:23.
At the bottom of the beanstalk Siobhan, Rosamund's player, names him: "That's Jack the Giant Killer." NA E16·00:07:04 He shouts "You were a fool to come here, giant! For the Giant Slayer!" NA E16·00:07:12 When Mother Goose says "In another world, I am your dad, and we're the same size.", he asks "Would you come and mock me with that same joke?" and later says "you are the second giant to claim to be my father." NA E16·00:15:55 NA E16·00:17:42 NA E16·00:46:20 He accuses the party: "You're here to steal back the Goose, the harp, the golden egg." NA E16·00:40:54 He insists "I did these things to make people happy! I did them so they wouldn't think I was a fool!" NA E16·01:40:57 Brennan calls him "your son, who is not your son" NA E16·01:47:29. Mother Goose apologises and leaves without making a third wish, and Brennan says that finally Jack would not have struck at him NA E16·01:50:07 NA E16·01:50:30. As the party climbs the beanstalk with the Golden Goose, he shouts "They've stolen our treasures!" NA E16·02:00:36
The Golden Goose later says a powerful being in The Lines Between added a portion of a story to this Neverafter "with the most dangerous version of Jack that could be found" NA E17·00:10:31. When this world's own Jack is found, Brennan says the Jack the party fought was stitched into this world from some other Once Upon a Time NA E18·01:58:30.
