The Lines Between

In the eighth episode Aesop tells the party that The Lines Between is an area beyond their worlds and realms, in some ways realer than they are, where one does not tire or know thirst or hunger NA E8·00:18:25. Key welcomes the party to The Lines Between and invites them to the central Tower of Tales NA E8·00:36:16 NA E8·00:37:05. Brennan describes an incredible book-made, spinning citadel in the center of an endless aurora borealis of cosmic lights NA E8·00:38:55. Key says the Auroratory beyond it is much older than the citadel, and that stories told there can stay in The Lines Between, which is the power of ink NA E8·00:41:47.

In the fourteenth episode Alphonse says things got dicey in The Lines Between after the party left, with a whole wing collapsed and a monster loose, and that Aesop and Scheherazade are using their books constantly to keep whatever is there at bay NA E14·00:49:23 NA E14·00:50:26. In the fifteenth episode Brennan confirms that a portal to the Canonade is at the bottom of the ocean, and during the escape Rosamund grabs Pib and uses the Cloak of Stars to enter The Lines Between NA E15·00:52:54 NA E15·02:01:31.

In the seventeenth episode Brennan says Ylfa, having swum out the deepest into the Auroratory in The Lines Between, senses that there is more to story than the Canonade's ink NA E17·00:08:35. Henry says the princesses have already moved to The Lines Between NA E17·01:43:06.

In the eighteenth episode the Baba Yaga's cottage carries the party along a path through the mountains into The Lines Between NA E18·02:00:43. The nineteenth episode's recap says they surged into The Lines Between, to a castle built in the midst of the Auroratory with the ink of the Canonade NA E19·00:01:29.
