Amethar's royal title, announced at his court, includes "bannerman of the battle of Gumdrop Pass" CC E1·00:53:43. In a flashback to the earlier war, Rococoa says the Ceresians are pouring through Gumdrop Pass CC E7·00:13:14. Late in the story Brennan says the Ceresians are holding about 40 miles of Candian territory in Gumdrop Pass, "the main pass from Ceresia into Candia" CC E15·01:39:59. Brennan adds that they withdrew their troops but could not give up such an important strategic location entirely CC E15·01:40:14. Joren suggests sending an army east to try to take Gumdrop Pass CC E15·01:46:51.
