You Will Never Know a Lonely Day Again
What happens
- 00:00:05 Aabria's greeting names the six archfey; "with me, one last time, are my pack of pixies" — 00:00:05. In place of a recap Aabria says "go back to the other episode. It's the same one." — 00:00:59. The prologue poem from episode 9 is spliced in again — 00:01:09.
- 00:01:50 Pick-up: a low rumble moves through the ground. Andhera rolls Constitution 9 as vines try to bind BINX; he pushes the energy of the magic holding his two ideas together down into the ground; the sky clouds over, a storm rolls in and the ground of the place between places cracks. The audience, ensorceled by Jeremy Renner's performance as the Green Hunter, begins to leave — 00:01:50–00:04:10.
- 00:04:10 Suntar stands to leave; Chirp (Arcana 6) burns her teacup and learns Suntar is answering a Sending spell and that her reply goes directly to Apollo (Aabria at 00:05:19). Chirp follows (Stealth 27) — 00:04:28–00:06:04.
- 00:06:16 Squak catches up to Apollo (Persuasion 28), who leads him behind the stage to a massive arch ruin with floating stones and two 12-foot caryatids; Apollo explains it is the last gate to the material plane and that once shut "the magic that we generate stays here, with us" — 00:06:16–00:09:38. Squak calls out to the others (Surena: "the sound of somebody's cell phone in a pocket"), then stalls Apollo, burns a token to succeed on a flirt, and is kissed; Aabria gives him Inspiration — 00:09:41–00:12:54.
- 00:13:16 Hob and Rue (Wuvvy clocked in the shadows; Rue Perception 22) run toward Squak; Wuvvy steps out of the shadows and nods; BINX (Arcana 11, burns a token) finds there is no caster: the plants are themselves magical and all lead to the arch; Andhera casts Protection from Poison on BINX — 00:13:16–00:18:53.
- 00:18:57 Initiative; the portal challenge is set: 10 successful Arcana checks, tokens and reputation tags burned lower the DC by 5, before the vines choke the portal shut — 00:18:57–00:24:05. Squak learns the vines are the problem and passes it on; he burns "mature", the cup and another token and succeeds (14); Hob arrives, burns "formidable", succeeds (7), action-surges and kills Prince Apollo with two natural 20 dice; four successes — 00:24:07–00:29:51.
- 00:29:54 Suntar arrives, sees Hob kill Apollo and Dominates Hob (Wisdom save fails, DC 17): "Kill them all." BINX removes Andhera's shard (Arcana "dirty 20"), freeing his power; Suntar: "He was mine to control!" BINX burns the Crystal Heart for the portal and her court stirs — 00:29:54–00:35:22.
- 00:35:22 Rue asks Wuvvy for help ("Wuvvy, I love him." "I know."); Wuvvy tackles Suntar and breaks her concentration; Hob is freed. Rue gives up "true" and burns something: portal success (12). Chirp, with Steel Wind Strike and Shadow Blade, destroys the vines; the portal is open and saved; Chirp sees an afterimage of her daughter Peep — 00:35:22–00:42:47.
- 00:42:47 Andhera casts Compel Duel on Suntar (she fails, 12 vs 14); takes 44 lightning damage (Dexterity 11); tells her the plan has failed and she is alone. Suntar yields and tries Dimension Door; Chirp counterspells; Hob kicks her through the portal — 00:42:47–00:48:55.
- 00:48:55 Aabria: the problem is solved, the portal preserved; denouement begins — 00:48:55.
- 00:49:44 Squak and Jeremy Renner on the stage: Squak reveals he is Airry Pearry, persuades Renner (burns the mask) to be in a "gritty" film of "The Green Hunter"; Renner kisses Squak and goes back through the portal — 00:49:44–00:54:07. Squak says "we've got to throw an orgy, STAT!" and Chirp says "We have little time." — 00:54:19–00:54:26.
- 00:54:35 Andhera and Advisor in the sea cave library: Advisor resigns and becomes official librarian of the Unseelie Court; refuses to give his name; Andhera's first order to him is to extend a wing of the library for "a collection of unfinished manuscripts and works that we might soon share with another court" 00:55:27; Hob asks Andhera about what he heard in the tailor shop — 00:54:35–00:59:03.
- 00:59:10 Rue releases Wuvvy from their service; Wuvvy says she was never bound; both forgive each other; Wuvvy says she has a couple of things to apologize for but "Now's not necessarily the time" 00:59:45–01:00:12, and leaves, saying "we will pick this up again as friends and peers and whatever we're gonna be next later, okay?" 01:00:15 — 00:59:10–01:01:10.
- 01:01:10 Hob confesses to Rue, asks for their hand and a kiss, is accepted, renounces the Goblin Court and swears "you will never know a lonely day again as long as I draw breath" — 01:04:51; the scene runs 01:01:10–01:05:21.
- 01:05:30 The Lords of the Wing return to the nest and read a final letter from their grandfather — 01:05:30–01:08:06.
- 01:08:06 Andhera and BINX at the portal: BINX hears her court; calls her court "a home"; Andhera kneels, pledges fealty and burns his last token; they kiss and walk through the portal to the mortal realm — 01:08:06–01:12:30.
- 01:12:33 Aabria's closing: a brown string tied round each pinky as a tether to the Court of Craft; her thanks; the cast's "Hi-ya!" — 01:12:33–01:14:06.
