The Great Hart Hunt
What happens
- 00:00:05 Aabria's welcome and greeting to the six archfey by name; recap: last time they met the archfey at home, brought them to the Seafoam Court's tidal island, saw the arrival of the Lords of the Wing and "the secrets and rumors" of fey society.
- 00:01:03 It is day two of the Bloom; chapter two, "The Great Hart Hunt". Aabria opens the first epistolary phase: each player has two chances to write a letter to someone at the Bloom or at home, or to command a letter from someone.
- 00:02:49 Squak's letter to Rue about the wager is sent at once, delivered by an ostrich with doves and a huge entourage of birds that clogs a hallway; Squak demands a response; refusing would carry "a social price"; the peer cohort notes the excessive display ("it has been so noted").
- 00:05:47 Hob's letter to Gwyndolin (an invitation to walk with Lord and Lady Blemish) is chewed and spat across the party; Gwyndolin catches it one-handed.
- 00:07:20 Andhera writes to Chirp; Advisor delivers it, goes red at the ears and leaves. Chirp and Squak call Andhera "pillar boy" and "the most eligible bachelor"; Chirp's reply includes a postscript about "those drugs" Andhera gave her.
- 00:10:19 Andhera's second letter, to Squak, is word for word the same (Aabria: the trip from his apartments to the nest would take Advisor "like 20 minutes"); both cousins compare, spot the same spelling errors and the same scratched-out word, and decide Squak will answer in person.
- 00:14:23 Capacea's tiny wooden ballerina automaton dances a rendezvous (three o'clock) at the cousins' twig-built mansion; Squak claims to be terribly ill; the automaton's arm breaks and Chirp sends a flock of turkeys to escort it home.
- 00:17:46 Gwyndolin's reply is handed to Hob in person; he eats it, "I accept"; the pair walk arm in arm, Performance 21 / 22 averaged; Hob talks about honor, the Blue Fairy, a wagon he once ate; Gwyndolin confides about her court; Hob asks whether Rue counselled that "certain engagements were better left unengaged".

- 00:36:25 Rue writes to Squak and Chirp (a tete-a-tete-a-tete, "fey contracts are binding"); Wuvvy takes it secretly, wearing a glamor as a dark-skinned high elf; the cousins receive it in the dead of night.
- 00:41:45 A salt goblin Corporal reports that Blemish and Boil are furious at Hob; Hob finds them digging a pit, abases himself ("Remember your place."), stabs himself for 3 piercing damage; he writes an unsent letter to Wrackingspelt.
- 00:48:02 Chirp sends a secret letter by a twig chest and gets back a wordless gift, a small token (Brennan: "a little nest heart").
- 00:50:49 Next day: invitations to the Hart Hunt at 11:00 AM; Hob finds Wuvvy (Survival 22), takes her macaron "problem" off her plate and plants a bell on her (Sleight of Hand 14).
- 00:53:37 Chirp and Squak want a rendez-Rue before the hunt; Chirp's birds (Animal Handling 17) send a magpie, bribed with a forged bracelet; Rue is at the hunting ground beyond a tunnel, meets head guide Theodore, and trades a gold ring in a charade with the magpie.
- 01:02:31 The cousins rig the parlor: Chirp and Squak saw down Rue's chair, then Chirp casts Fabricate (4th level) to shorten it.
- 01:05:58 Rue power-catwalks in nine-inch heels to the nest; Insight 20 notices the rigging; Squak's Silvery Barbs and Chirp's Gift of Gab (Rue rerolls, gets 12) are used on Rue, who leans on the chair instead of sitting.
- 01:09:55 Rue sets the wager's terms: worthy suitors by the end of the Bloom, genuine love, no glamors or magic, no moments of chaos; the contract has been signed; Chirp probes loopholes; a bugle sounds the hunt.

- 01:29:12 Hob and Rue summon Wuvvy; Hob bargains a favor for her to lure the hart as a white hind; they shake on it and a pulse of magic marks another bargain.
- 01:37:21 Gwyndolin and Andhera build a stick shrine with three apples; Andhera casts Locate Object on the antler; Squak joins a "Blair Witch" talk; time shifts to night.
- 01:43:37 Hob invites Rue into his tree hiding spot; Rue is crestfallen; Hob's Athletics 17 grab is swatted away; Rue leaves.
- 01:47:08 Theodore turns into a hart-man; round two: Squak's attempt to shatter the antler is Counterspelled, Chirp's Counterspell is Counterspelled by a lady in waiting to Titania; Squak grabs the antler; Chirp offers him drugs, then Shadow Blade crits saw 45 off the antler.
- 01:54:14 Theodore throws Squak off but fixates on him; Gwyndolin's Sleep (23) drops two imps; Rue tells Hob "The fault is entirely mine" and he must go hunt.
- 02:02:09 Hob rolls 9 (by his own rule high is wild, low is honorable), hides again; finds a peacock feather and swallows it.
- 02:04:04 Andhera: "It's time to be a big boy"; Command, Compel Duel; Squak's Persuasion 17 draws Theodore's attention; Chirp declares a Quickened Dispel Magic on the Compel Duel (no result ruled) and with a second crit takes the antler.
- 02:13:04 Chirp shares the antler with Andhera; it becomes a small carved white hart; Theodore ("Chooch") carries Squak off.
- 02:17:01 Andhera tells Chirp he will join her for a meal; in the dark Advisor hugs him; a Hunter gives Andhera a horn "for your shared victory".
- 02:23:15 Gwyndolin lingers, tastes lemon, pulls a magnifying glass and transforms into Binx: "Hey Mika, what do you need?"; end of the episode.
