Order of the Concrete Fist

Jackson says he is part of the Order of the Concrete Fist, "dedicated to the defense of New York City, against those things which break through from the other side" UC E7·01:12:41. Its monastery is in Staten Island UC E7·01:10:09.

The Order of the Concrete Fist is a New York order of martial artists that defends the city against things breaking through from the other side UC E7·01:12:41. Jackson says it was founded early in the city's history with roots back to the Shaolin Temple, that its forms were developed for New York's role in the magical cosmology, and that its mantra is "it is what it is" UC E11·00:57:22. Willy congratulates Sofia on joining the Order, and Jackson is her teacher UC E10·02:03:44 UC E10·02:16:35.

A prophecy named Dale as the chosen one, but when he went to the place where the order's spirits are supposed to impart the powers, they weren't there UC E11·01:00:36. Sofia finds dead and wounded monks on the library steps, and Jackson explains the order's yin and yang symbol as the balance between dream and the waking world UC E15·00:24:37 UC E15·00:36:02. Brennan names it again in the last battle UC E16·02:02:30. At the end Sofia offers Pete a room with the Order UC E17·01:43:35.
