In the twelfth episode Brennan says the Battle of the Brands paperwork pits the crew against brand champions, including those for Kansas Corn Cakes, which he calls an Amarcadian corn cake company SOE12·02:44:02. Brennan lists the brands as Acme-Ashmun, Kansas Korncakes, Uncle Bob's Fantanimalland and Triangle Mint Cookies, and says the crew do not yet know who the champions are SOE12·02:44:32.

Kansas Korncakes first comes up in the twelfth episode as one of the four brands in the Battle of the Brands, described as an Amarcadian corn cake company SOE12·02:44:02 SOE12·02:44:32. Kansas Korncakes is the brand sponsor of Brutus the Korn, the corn-shaped gladiator announced at the Battle of the Brands SOE13·00:38:01. The next episode's recap says Brutus is its sponsored fighter SOE14·00:00:48.
