In the first episode Brennan zooms back through time to the corporate boardroom of Handy Andi Android manufacturers, where a screen shows Sundry Sidney with a gleaming smile, roller skates, a candy striper outfit and a gun arm SOE1·00:28:43. The advert presents Sundry Sidney as the new top of the line from the Handy Andi corporation, proud purveyors of fine androids all over the galaxy SOE1·00:29:12. CEO Max Griivarr says the ad has aired and that Living Doll has already filed suit SOE1·00:31:01.

Handy Andi is the android manufacturer that produced Sundry Sidney SOE1·00:28:43 SOE1·00:29:12. In the second episode Brennan says Riva sees part of Sidney's backstory, fleeing from Handy Andi and coming aboard the ship SOE2·00:58:49. In the tenth episode it is said that if Handy Andi admitted it had designed Sidney, it could shut Warfare Whitney down SOE10·01:56:13. In the twelfth episode Auma says she could not find another job after Handy Andi let her go SOE12·01:39:52. She says she did some shady things at Handy Andi to get her hand on a switch, because she was worried they would undo Sidney, and that she triggered Sidney's switch so Sidney could get out SOE12·01:45:29.
