Captain Jan de la Vega

In the first episode Brennan shows the bridge of a pursuing Anolo Interceptor, with character art naming Capt. Jan de la Vega, a seasoned proldier SOE1·00:08:12. He describes her as a very old woman, maybe 80, with deep wrinkles, sunglasses, some kind of fangs and a low cowboy hat SOE1·00:08:12. She introduces herself as Captain Jan de la Vega of the Lady Pike, says she noticed the crew lifted some Borinyum Krystal off the Cosmic Veil, and tells them to hand it over SOE1·00:08:40.

In the first episode Captain Jan de la Vega of the Lady Pike chases the crew's ship and demands the Borinyum Krystal taken from the Cosmic Veil SOE1·00:08:40. She asks Norman "Why do you want to walk outta here with half a ship when you could have a whole ship?" SOE1·01:06:50. The crew keeps one crate of krystal and jettisons fourteen crates and a hologram, which the Lady Pike scoops up as she says it is a pleasure doing business SOE1·01:41:03 SOE1·01:41:12.

In the second episode she tells the crew "I bet y'all had a big laugh sending me 14 crates of powdered imitation egg substitute, didn't ya?" and "Nobody makes a fool of Jan De La Vega" SOE2·01:53:14 SOE2·01:53:27. The third episode's recap by Brennan calls her that old shark of the system and says a double-crossing proldier alerted her after the crew's run-in at Madrugada Station SOE3·00:00:52.

In the fifth episode she says "Well, well- what the hell is this? I got a bone to pick with you" SOE5·01:16:08. Brennan says she hits a button on her cybertronic wheelchair and a shield of hologram energy covers her SOE5·01:42:59, and she later asks Sidney how long the contract on the Red Hot is SOE5·01:45:19. As she leaves in her combat wheelchair she says "If you ever want a real job just holler!" SOE5·01:52:24. Brennan's recap in the eleventh episode calls her the crew's old nemesis, that mean old lady out there amongst the stars SOE11·00:06:21.

In the twelfth episode Margaret greets her as a fellow U4F member, and Jan answers "You dodged a bullet this time, Encino" SOE12·02:06:39 SOE12·02:06:50. In the seventeenth episode the Lady Pike appears in the lead of the ships that answer Margaret's signal SOE17·00:33:25. Jan says "All right, Encino, you sent the signal" SOE17·00:36:09 and asks "What's the call, sister? What you need?" SOE17·00:36:15. In the last episode, after Arcadia Prime says of her ship "How derivative", Jan answers "I'm gonna put my cigar out in your eye" SOE18·00:11:53 SOE18·00:12:00, and after the final fight she says "That's a hell of a charge, cap" SOE18·02:50:33.
