The Neverafter

In the first episode the Neverafter is the world of the story, where Brennan says the times of shadow have befallen it and the cities depend on often blighted, pest-infested produce NA E1·00:01:16 NA E1·00:23:57. The briars tell Rosamund that the times of shadow now pass in the Neverafter NA E1·00:16:15. Lord Bandlebridge calls Shoeberg one of the few thriving metropolises left in the Neverafter, and a chariot warrior calls the same city a festering boil on the face of the Neverafter NA E1·01:14:56 NA E1·01:39:40.

In the fourth episode Cinderella tells Rosamund that the Neverafter is all of their realms, the Kingdoms of Reverie and Elegy, Shoeberg and the Lands of Lullaby NA E4·01:06:42. The Goose says the lands of the Neverafter are lands of story, and that the Neverafter is more than the few kingdoms around Pottingham and even larger than most folk expect NA E4·02:07:29.

In the eighth episode Aesop says the times of shadow have come to the Neverafter, that it has begun to grow and absorb other realms, and that he believes it may have started as more than one realm NA E8·00:19:27 NA E8·00:19:56 NA E8·00:20:36. Alphonse says Aesop told them the Lands of Lullaby did not used to be part of the Neverafter NA E8·00:27:50. In the ninth episode Brennan shows the Neverafter from above inside Mother Goose's book, its kingdoms fractured, and says that whatever the will of the Authors is, the party's stories were never really supposed to touch NA E9·01:43:35. In the sixteenth episode Brennan speaks of all the lands of the Neverafter the party has traveled to NA E16·00:43:02.

In the finale Brennan says the Authors seem to have realized that the Neverafter has happened at all and are coming to change this NA E20·00:49:01. After the spell works, Brennan begins the heroes' new stories with "Once upon a time in the village of Hapley" NA E20·02:16:41.
