The Canonade

In the eighth episode the party reaches the Tower of Tales, where a large staircase leads to locked double doors under a symbol of an inkwell and a quill NA E8·00:42:53. Key says the Canonade is the source of the ink, that it has to stay locked up, and that nobody goes in it NA E8·00:43:28. Looking through the keyhole, Mother Goose sees a vast shrine of staircases and platforms made of pillars of text, parchment, books and scrolls, with a perfect glass inkwell on a pedestal at the top NA E8·01:02:58. When he stares into the ink, Brennan makes him think about where his perfect poems have been coming from NA E8·01:05:36.

In the eighteenth episode the party rushes forward and finds the doors of the Canonade off their hinges, with the ink swirling over a pyramid of books covered in seven princesses, Snow White's eyes glowing black as her hand touches the ink NA E18·02:09:41 NA E18·02:09:48. In the nineteenth episode Brennan's recap places the Canonade in the Auroratory of The Lines Between, with the ink of the Canonade and the will of The Authors made manifest in a seemingly endless labyrinthian castle of books and stories NA E19·00:01:29.

There Rosamund's arrows hit the undead Snow White across the Canonade NA E19·00:37:07. The finale's recap says the heroes are deep within the Canonade and that Snow White, the architect of the ink's purpose, was struck down by an arrow from Sleeping Beauty NA E20·00:01:28. The battle there has a narrow bridge, and pages beyond the edge of the platform NA E20·00:18:09. At the edge of the platform the Stepmother appears, roaring out of the pages NA E20·01:07:04. The battle also has a center platform and a lower level NA E20·01:11:30 NA E20·01:51:34.
