Magic Mirror

Pib finds a mirror under a sheet in the clockwork carriage, and Brennan says it comes from the Kingdom of Tapestry, where dwarves made incredible magical things NA E2·00:52:53. Its glass is cloudy and murky, and a feline face forms in the mist at its center NA E2·00:54:35. It says "Address me by my name." and answers to "Mirror" with "Yes, Your Grace." NA E2·00:55:14 NA E2·00:55:52 It offers to show Pib anything he wishes to see NA E2·00:56:04.

At Pib's request the Mirror shows him the Kingdom of Marienne, with Amanti, the Ogre of Carabas's manor and Tomas's royal castle in ruins NA E2·00:56:31. When Pib says he dreams of being the most comfortable, it shows the land of the Neverafter swallowed into the pages of a large book, with an illustration of a cat in boots on a cushion on the final page, and Pib recognizes the book NA E2·00:58:36 NA E2·00:59:52. In return for the visions it asks Pib to mention it to "The wooden boy" NA E2·01:00:19 NA E2·01:00:27.

Asked about the future, the Mirror says they journey to Shoeberg, that the road past its gates to the Kingdom of Elegy holds the first of the treasures the book requires, and that the sisters of his new companion "now know" NA E2·01:02:01 NA E2·01:02:48. In the ninth episode Brennan recalls that a mirror in a carriage told the party to talk to the Stepmother NA E9·02:03:16.
