In the second episode Brennan describes a rotting pumpkin carriage in the road, with a sickly green fairy with a spear of glass in her chest standing in it, surrounded by her staff of servants NA E2·02:28:37. Among them are barrel soldiers, who have the heads of men growing from the sides of wooden barrels and wheeze into chests made of banded beams of wood with no lungs to hold their breath NA E2·02:28:37. A barrel polearm wielder reaches over his allies to swing at a party member one last time NA E3·00:28:41.
When Rosamund's arrow hits an iron band around a barrel, Brennan says a nail flies out, the slats collapse, and the man's arms and head separate from his legs and tumble to the ground NA E3·01:00:53 NA E3·01:01:02. Ylfa grabs a little barrel man and swivels him around to give her partial cover NA E3·01:02:59 NA E3·01:03:08 NA E3·01:03:12.
