Chimeron

Headmistress Boudicca Philtrum describes Chimeron as the fourth of the school's houses, with dull pewter goats on a buttery yellow field, and tells the students "You are the salt of the earth" MAM E2·00:15:57. After the sorting, the Americans notice that about 65% of the first years were thrown into Chimeron MAM E2·00:21:29. Philtrum puts the four exchange students there, saying it is the only place all four could fit comfortably MAM E2·00:25:06, MAM E2·00:25:39. Their robes turn from inky black to mustard yellow as they step toward it MAM E2·00:28:20.

Chimeron is the house where students land who do not make the others: Coggle Undergus explains that if you are not smart enough to be useful to the good or the bad guys, "you just have to come be here", and Dream suspects it gets the castoffs MAM E2·00:30:04, MAM E2·00:22:02. Jammer proposes turning it into a house of killers around the goat horns hand sign and the line "mess with the goat, get the horns" MAM E2·00:25:55, MAM E2·00:26:08. Dr. Norman Boodle is the head of the house MAM E2·01:01:52. During the fire in the Applied Evocation Room most of the Chimeron students stay back in the hallway MAM E3·00:04:09, and the four make the goat house sign to each other while learning to fly MAM E3·01:01:09.

Chimeron plays Hercinil in its first scuppers game MAM E3·01:14:40. When Evan Kelmp knocks two charging players out of the air, "the entire school, absent Hercinil" loses its mind MAM E3·01:28:42. In the finale the team chants "Chimeron on three, family on six, Muggle on nine" before the tournament MAM E4·01:22:55, and the student section, "mostly Chimeron 'cause that's mostly what the school is", chants "Goat House" at the tournament MAM E4·01:37:53. In the epilogue Sam Black says that the house, "the biggest house", has gained confidence and that kids from other houses now come to hang out in its common room MAM E4·02:46:16, MAM E4·02:48:02.
