Shovel

In the opening scene a long shovel is dragged upon the shadowy road by a stooped, hunched figure in a top hat, a sneering weasel MM E1·00:01:44. Brennan has Gangie stump along a country lane toward the graveyard behind the old Anglican chapel Our Lady of Prayerful Paws MM E1·00:05:03. Later he describes Gangie slinking through the graveyard with the shovel, the body wrapped up in tarp and rope MM E1·00:20:14.

Gangie's shovel is his tool and weapon throughout the episodes. In MM_05 he fights a figure that lunges toward the elevator, pushing his shovel through a grate like a pool cue, and the figure dexterously dodges the first thrust MM E5·01:20:39 MM E5·01:31:23 MM E5·01:31:47. On a later turn he lands a hit with the shovel for 13 points of damage, and Brennan says that in the figure's wide, voluminous coat "you hear a crunch" MM E5·01:34:09 MM E5·01:34:24. In MM_06 Buckster tells Jeremy that when "the weasel yonder poked it with its shovel, it did make a sound akin to a crunch" MM E6·01:57:52.

In MM_10 Gangie hides flush to the ceiling of an elevator car that has stopped at the kitchen wing, with his shovel propped against the up button MM E10·01:00:36 MM E10·01:01:10 MM E10·01:01:29. He then drops down, grabs the shovel and hits a constable across the face MM E10·01:02:21. Later in the same episode Brennan describes the flat blade of the shovel sailing through the air to kill a constable MM E10·01:15:46.

Brennan says Lawrence Longfoot's camera was broken "as it was struck with a shovel earlier this night" MM E10·01:32:48. In his recap he adds that the crunch of the masked figure on top of Loam Hall was the camera breaking under the point of Gangie Green's shovel MM E10·01:36:31.
