Infernal lamps

At Bowser the Broad's foundry, dwarves carry a huge 15 foot carved copper tube, sealed at the end almost like a minaret, with runes carved into it LEV E1·01:38:25. A cloaked woman lashes a forked tongue into Trixie's neck and the tube fills with a helix of stable magical flame LEV E1·01:40:30. Langley tells his men to go and get that tube placed LEV E1·01:41:27.

The infernal lamps are 15 giant copper tubes carved with runes, first seen at Bowser's foundry, where one is filled with fire after the cloaked woman's tongue stabs into Trixie's neck LEV E1·01:38:25 LEV E1·01:40:30. Brennan says 15 of these infernal lamps were made, matching 15 buildings that the Crescent Moon Trading Company bought up LEV E2·01:25:59 LEV E2·01:38:31. The DM calls the weird giant copper tubes giant industrial magic Arcana industrial lamps LEV E3·00:09:14. On a Religion roll the DM tells Myrtle that large infernal magic usually moves something into or out of the material world and runs on souls LEV E3·00:11:49.

Alistair says the lamps were built to give extra firepower when the storm strikes, and that he does not know what they were meant to be filled with LEV E4·02:07:39. At the Ramble the lamp is in the attic, ensconced in wood, with its top at the crest of the roof, and Cheese's Shatter loosens its reinforcements LEV E5·01:01:35 LEV E5·01:34:09. Behind a brick casing the DM gives it a damage threshold of 10, and Marcid's attack makes the lamp collapse 20 feet through the floor LEV E6·00:09:58 LEV E6·00:48:38. Langley falls past it and is crushed in the chest by it, and Tulwar carries the lamp out afterward LEV E6·01:05:46 LEV E6·01:12:47. Myrtle uses the bell on the lamps to scoop out fiery souls, the first of which is Trixie's LEV E6·01:14:05 LEV E6·01:14:42.

LEV E1: A Heaping Helping of Trouble

  • Infernal copper lamps (here only a "huge 15 foot carved copper like tube" carved with runes, carried by dwarves at Bowser's foundry; the first of the giant lamps, not yet called a lamp) — filled with fire from the cloaked woman's forked tongue: "the giant 15 foot copper tube fills with fire", "a helix of this like stable magical flame"; Langley: "Men let's go and get that tube placed, shall we?" — 01:38:25, 01:40:30, 01:41:27

LEV E2: The Daughter of Storms

  • Infernal copper lamps — 15 giant ones made; ties to the 15 buildings — 01:25:59

LEV E3: Into The Sternwood

  • Infernal lamps — the "weird giant copper tubes" are "giant industrial magic Arcana industrial lamps"; a tiny scrap of infernal writing links them to the small lamp (DM) — 00:09:14

LEV E4: I'm Worth This

  • 15 infernal lamps (copper) — "highly conductive"; to give "extra firepower" when the storm strikes — 02:05:06, 02:07:39

LEV E5: Scramble to the Ramble

  • Infernal lamp (the "device") — in the Ramble attic, "ensconced in wood", top at the crest of the roof; reinforcements around it come undone under Shatter — 01:01:35, 01:34:09

LEV E6: The Horizon Beyond the Squall

  • Infernal lamp (the 15th) — behind a brick casing; the DM gives it a damage threshold of exactly 10; after Marcid's 11 it falls 20 feet through the floor, where Langley hits it on the way down; Tulwar carries it out — 00:09:58, 00:48:38, 01:05:46, 01:12:47
