Clive McDoon

Clive McDoon is Jack's best friend and first mate, an elf LEV E2·01:43:20. The DM notes that he is not among the ghosts of Jack's crew who appear LEV E2·00:34:46. The ghost crew say they could not find his spirit in the beyond LEV E2·01:43:49.

Clive McDoon is Jack's elven first mate and best friend from the wreck of The Late Bloomer, who was missing among the ghosts of his crew LEV E2·01:43:20 LEV E3·00:34:17. A page signed a week earlier carries the mark of Clive M., Jack's witness on his ship contract two years ago, which the DM calls the name of a dead man LEV E2·01:44:14.

At the lake, the DM shows Jack that Clive is alive and breathing, in naval dress, standing with Langley and Alamaria, and he is the same man Marcid knows as Lieutenant Mardres LEV E3·00:21:39. He freezes on seeing Jack, and when Langley says he looks as if he has seen a ghost, he answers "Lord, I think I have" LEV E3·00:36:27 LEV E3·00:34:17 LEV E3·00:36:14. After springing from his restraints he attacks Jack, and his musket only scrapes Jack's side LEV E3·01:06:23. Langley tells Jack that "dear Clive" was willing to place the stone for a price, and Clive leaves with Langley and Alamaria LEV E3·01:08:32 LEV E3·01:09:12.

The DM's recap at the start of LEV_05 calls him "the treacherous Clive McDoon, or as he is now known, Lieutenant Clive Mardres" LEV E5·00:00:15. He is in the Ramble's balcony room with the soldiers LEV E5·00:58:15. Sunny's Command makes him walk to the edge, and the DM says he was born in Leviathan, was a pirate and turned his back on his captain LEV E5·01:08:55 LEV E5·01:09:03. Jack hits him so hard that he goes off the Ramble, and the DM says "Clive goes straight to the bottom of the briney deep" LEV E5·01:19:32 LEV E5·01:18:30. The DM later says "Clive is way dead" LEV E5·01:47:05. When Trixie is freed she says that Clive, whom she was seeing, came into her room and lit a little lamp and she began to feel woozy LEV E6·01:15:17.
