Peppermint heart seed

A peppermint heart seed is a seed found deep inside a peppermint tree CC E9·01:32:59 CC E9·01:33:24. Liam goes looking for one, and Brennan asks him for a Nature check with advantage CC E9·01:32:43 CC E9·01:32:52. Brennan says there are older peppermint trees up on the ridge that Liam knows about, and that chopping into them turns up a big healthy peppermint heart seed CC E9·01:32:59.

Heart seeds form when magic is worked through a peppermint tree: Brennan says the residue of that magic is captured in acorns and seeds that the tree holds on to, like tiny wishes that do not work verbally CC E3·00:09:55. In CC_03 Peppermint Preston eats three of them, and Brennan says it seems he wanted to fly CC E3·00:10:50 CC E3·00:10:56. In CC_09 Liam finds a big healthy peppermint heart seed deep in an old peppermint tree on the ridge, after the ceremony for Lapin CC E9·01:32:59 CC E9·01:33:24.

In CC_09 Ally says that when the note for Lapin is put down, she would put the seed down for Preston CC E9·01:33:25. In CC_13 the Sugar Plum Fairy holds out a mended teacup and a peppermint heart seed that Liam left in the grotto at Castle Candy CC E13·01:50:48. In CC_14, during the fight with the Sugar Plum Fairy, Liam's player recalls that the Fairy gave back the thing that made Preston fly, and Liam eats it; Brennan calls it the magic seed that made Preston fly CC E14·00:19:42 CC E14·00:19:53 CC E14·00:21:25. Brennan rules that on a natural 20 Liam gets to say what spell he cast, and on anything else he rolls on the Wild Magic Surge Table CC E14·00:21:25. The result is a spell that makes every creature within 30 feet of Liam invisible: Brennan says that he wants to fly but deep in his heart wants to move unseen through the world CC E14·00:22:45 CC E14·00:22:53. In CC_15 Preston coughs up three peppermint heart seeds, which spin around the wishes coming from Lapin's chest CC E15·00:37:29.
