The witches

In the fourth episode Cinderella warns Rosamund to beware of fairies, and says witches are not as dangerous as fairies but that Rosamund should keep an eye out for any she meets NA E4·01:16:44. She says witches have done nothing to harm the princesses and in many cases have been helpful NA E4·01:16:44. She says the fairies are petitioning the witches for their aid, and that she believes that in time the witches are more likely to side with the fairies than with the princesses NA E4·01:16:44.

In the eleventh episode Brennan recalls that Cinderella said the fairies were entreating the witches to join their cause, that the princesses were also talking to some witches, and that the witches had remained neutral, though she feared they would break toward the fairies NA E11·00:56:18. In the twelfth episode Snow White confirms the Snow Queen is a witch and says her coming audience with her is the princesses' first foray toward witches NA E12·00:52:36, answering "This is the first." NA E12·00:52:52 In the fourteenth episode Rapunzel says the Snow Queen refused many things, among them the offer of mercy NA E14·01:16:25.

In the fourteenth episode Alba Mac Lir says both sides of that conflict have approached a number of witches throughout the Neverafter NA E14·00:14:14. She says she has a standing invitation to speak with one of the eight great fairies, a golden, radiant fairy with hair of turquoise NA E14·00:15:12. She says none of them have seen reason to side with the princesses or the fairies, because the fairies say ruin will come to the Neverafter should the witches not side with them, and the princesses say the same, and the witches do not see that as being the case NA E14·00:18:00. She also tells of the Baba Yaga's meeting with the Princess Rapunzel, which ended with the Baba Yaga swearing to snatch the tongue from Rapunzel's mouth if she uttered a lie NA E14·00:32:54. Brennan says Timothy is obviously a witch, and that Alba is not a human who learned witchcraft but has never not been the Sea Witch, like the Baba Yaga NA E14·00:19:36.

In the eighteenth episode the Baba Yaga says magic is just a thing that witches, fairies and all of them have, a way to change the story so that it is better than it would have been without NA E18·01:49:53.

At the Canonade the Baba Yaga casts Cone of Cold over the top of the ziggurat, and in the finale she grapples Cinderella in the air and kills the Red Fairy NA E19·00:44:09 NA E20·00:01:28 NA E20·01:03:33.
