The stepsisters

In the fifth episode the stepsisters are only mentioned. As Timothy studies the Cinderella pages in his book, Brennan says the story after her happily ever after took a sinister turn, and that there is still a part where her stepmother carves off the toes and the heel of the stepsisters NA E5·01:01:01.

The stepsisters are already mentioned in the second episode. Ogbert says the mice had heard of young women whose mother had them carve their toes off or cut their heels off for the glass slipper, and Norbert speaks of an ash maid treated so awful by her sisters NA E2·01:57:18 NA E2·01:58:54 NA E2·02:00:49. Donal says the woman of the house called her daughters down to her one night by the fireplace, they went behind the chair, and the mice never saw them again NA E2·01:59:40.

In the ninth episode the party watches a memory in which, Brennan says, two young women run screaming from a flock of birds that peck out their eyes and peck at their faces and throats, while a woman goes out and tries to throw a thick blanket over them NA E9·01:51:54. The woman tells them "Your stepsister is the princess now." and that she will find a way to fix this NA E9·01:53:18. She tells a prince and a princess that the two were grievously injured by the birds that seem to help Cinderella and wonders whether it falls to them to help NA E9·01:53:43 NA E9·01:53:53. Cinderella answers "Respectfully, I did not cut the toes or heels from their feet so that they could fit into a glass slipper.", and the woman calls her a spiteful girl and says she knew she was jealous NA E9·01:54:16 NA E9·01:54:29. The woman then says she will save her girls and rides out on a horse NA E9·01:54:38 NA E9·01:54:42.

In the finale epilogue Brennan says Minerva walks out with her two daughters to try to get them married, and at the ball two stepsisters are in a knock-down, drag-out brawl with each other NA E20·02:29:29 NA E20·02:30:01.
