The mice of the hamlet

Rosamund opens a cupboard in a house in the town and finds a village of makeshift mouse homes with mice gathered in a town square NA E2·01:53:11. One mouse steps out, begs her to eat him and spare the rest, and says they have been hiding and avoiding "her" NA E2·01:53:36 NA E2·01:53:48. The mouse says "We's the mice of this town." and that a woman from up the road once turned them into the people of the town NA E2·01:54:03 NA E2·01:54:18.

Ogbert says he was turned into a man for four and a half hours, and that the woman, a lady with a crown and wings and a wand, used to turn a donkey into a butler, a mouse into a coachman and a bucket into a valet NA E2·01:54:41 NA E2·01:55:57 NA E2·01:56:13. They ask the party not to tell anyone they are there NA E2·01:57:00. Ogbert says that when they last saw her she was worse, and that they had heard from the townspeople that other young women there were made by their mother to carve off toes or heels, because the first time the shoe was a glass slipper NA E2·01:57:18 NA E2·01:58:54.

Donal says the woman who lived there changed into something fierce, called her daughters behind the chair by the fireplace, was never seen with them again, then stood up and rode off on a horse, and that they knew her to have a name before but none could remember it NA E2·01:59:40. Norbert says the fairy came back and told the princess to return to her happy life with the prince, that the princess called her a foul thing, and that a young lady who had been nothing but an ash maid drove a spear of glass through the fairy's heart NA E2·02:00:49. Ylfa concludes "Cinderella killed the godmother." NA E2·02:01:33

In the fourth episode, in Rosamund's story, Brennan says mice come out from under her bed and gnaw the briars, tied to the kindness of the crumbs she threw into the cupboard in a version of her that is now dead, and they offer her the spindle NA E4·01:24:38 NA E4·01:25:13.
