Secret basement wing

The secret basement wing is the final unexplored wing of Loam Hall, which the heroes reach by taking the elevator down MM E8·01:21:31. In the preview of the next episode, after the episode has ended, Brennan describes a hall with a secret mushroom garden, whose mushrooms hum and glow with vibrant electricity MM E8·01:21:58.

The secret basement wing lies at the bottom of the elevator: a secret wall moves out of the way as the elevator comes down, and the hall beyond has a wheelbarrow, junk and a secret mushroom garden MM E9·00:29:25. Brennan says the humming, glowing mushrooms are filled with cyanotoxin, with thick cables running from their beds up to a copper cable, and calls the garden the secret storeroom of Loam Hall's power MM E9·00:29:51. He adds that the fungus lights up with a ghostly glow when thunder rolls, and says the ghostly lights in the Seance Room reacted to a lightning strike above, a mildew problem rather than the undead MM E9·00:29:51.

In the finale Brennan says the lightning rod is connected to the mushroom cellar below, and it extends up into the storm cloud MM E10·02:09:37.
