Queen Inira is the ruler of Everdeep and Troyánn's mother DDQ E1·00:07:06. She sits on a throne of spiked coral, with hair 30 feet long and a merfolk tail DDQ E1·00:07:00 DDQ E1·00:07:42. She gives Troyánn the Soul Keeper Amulet DDQ E1·00:07:53. She tells Troyánn that Everdeep is dying and admits she made a terrible bargain for her people DDQ E1·00:09:10 DDQ E1·00:10:12.

Queen Inira rules Everdeep and sends her daughter Troyánn to the Underworld with the Soul Keeper Amulet DDQ E1·00:07:53 DDQ E1·00:10:52. She says she made a terrible bargain with dark beings, owing seven souls with each season DDQ E1·00:10:12 DDQ E1·00:10:52. In the Underworld Shalila tells Troyánn that the deal was with Thanara and means 28 souls a year DDQ E2·02:03:45 DDQ E2·02:03:49. Troyánn defends her mother when Twyla speaks against her DDQ E2·02:04:22, and Gertrude tells Troyánn that her father found out she lied DDQ E2·02:12:33.

At Thanara's throne Troyánn says she was told it was all a lie DDQ E3·02:37:14. In the finale Brennan says Keena is dedicated to preserving the immortality of rot at the heart of Everdeep DDQ E4·01:43:56. Roy says Inira wants to live forever, and he and Troyánn agree to take her on DDQ E4·02:07:36 DDQ E4·02:06:48.
