Iga's chest
In a corner of Iga's bedroom sits a very old wooden chest with lichen or moss growing on it, ancient rusted metal, thick carved trees and a heavy latch UC2 E1·02:30:56. The carved trees sway as if in wind, the chest collapses and re-expands, the room warps, and roots and leaves slam out into the walls and floor UC2 E1·02:32:37 UC2 E1·02:34:01 UC2 E1·02:34:27. Brennan says it has belonged to her family for more generations than she can count UC2 E1·02:35:33. Iga wrestles it shut, and skyscrapers now appear among the carvings, with Sofia Lee on top of one UC2 E1·02:36:32 UC2 E1·02:37:50.
Iga calls the chest "a box of power that a powerful spirit resides inside" UC2 E2·01:28:25, passed from mother to daughter, and says it is not to be opened UC2 E2·01:30:00 UC2 E2·01:28:08. It can be shrunk to travel size and expanded again, and its carvings change to trees with skyscrapers UC2 E2·01:14:06 UC2 E2·01:27:07 UC2 E4·00:53:33. After Lowell's scan Lowell says the changes are a reaction to its surroundings: "They're trying to erase it. And your box is fighting back" UC2 E6·01:40:47 UC2 E6·01:39:24. Lowell finds magic of all eight schools in it UC2 E6·01:42:35.
Iga and Wally enter it through a Sanctuary Vessel, and Brennan says raw Umbra had already leaked in and corroded a hole UC2 E7·01:06:44 UC2 E7·01:39:30. In Nod it glows, and it is a more powerful attachment to past and memory than the museum, so memories are returned when it is there; Cody's lost belongings are sucked into it UC2 E10·00:32:57 UC2 E10·01:13:23 UC2 E10·02:05:40.
Inside are a fairytale castle and miles of forest, with a dungeon of gold behind an iron grate; the dragon's hoard is there UC2 E11·01:36:34 UC2 E11·01:47:42. When the dragon is freed the realm expands, and Brennan says the egg had been changing the outside of the chest UC2 E11·02:02:29 UC2 E11·02:08:18. It becomes a vast realm of mountains, forests, a desert and an ocean UC2 E13·02:18:50. In UC2_15 it is left on the ground, Pete takes it, and he gives it to the Lisowski family UC2 E15·00:24:28 UC2 E15·00:55:27.
