Dexter is named by Marty Flick when he is pressed about the cipher prompt L-Y-E-T TH E2·00:51:21. Marty says "It's Dexter. It's our buddy Dexter." TH E2·00:51:40. He adds that they were on a scouting party heading to the house for supplies TH E2·00:51:40. He says Felix wanted to stay, that Dexter wanted to go back to the heap, and that Felix said they never go back there again TH E2·00:51:40. A moment later Marty says "Dexter, why is this part of the case?" TH E2·00:52:45.

Dexter is a friend whom Marty Flick calls "our buddy Dexter", part of a scouting party who wanted to go back to the heap TH E2·00:51:40. Marty reads the cipher prompt L-Y-E-T as the life you ever took TH E2·00:51:21. Justin restates it as the first life you ever took TH E2·00:51:27. Marty's answer is Dexter TH E2·00:51:40. In TH_03 Master Buttons says that Snow Pea and Raindrop's grandsons went with their friend Dexter on a mission to the house and never came back TH E3·01:25:04. In TH_06 Car-Go says that Marty and Felix are those grandsons, and Bean says he thought everyone already knew TH E6·00:17:42 TH E6·00:18:15. Marty then says that when they found a family of stewards named the Flicks, Dexter said it was wrong TH E6·01:46:35.
