Squire's secret study

Daisy swipes the eyes of the portrait in the seance room, and Brennan says they swivel up behind the painting like a look hole in a door MM E4·01:18:28. A musty gust comes through from another room that is pitch black, with the fusty smell of ink and parchment MM E4·01:18:28 MM E4·01:20:58. The painting is bolted to a solid wall, so the opening is only wide enough for someone to look through MM E4·01:20:58. Buckster beats the insight check and smells ledgers and accounting books, and Brennan says this is the squire's actual study, which is not the one downstairs, and that the door to it is somewhere in the Manor House MM E4·01:22:19 MM E4·01:22:46.

Daisy first looks into the room in MM_04, through the eyes of the seance room portrait, and Buckster works out that it is the squire's real study; Brennan then names it as one of the biggest loose ends, "the secret study" MM E4·01:18:28 MM E4·01:22:46 MM E4·01:29:35. In MM_05 Daisy looks through the eye holes again and sees Colonel Hawkins stuffing letters into his coat and throwing something from his coat into a drawer of jangling metal things MM E5·01:14:54 MM E5·01:16:25. Brennan says she sees ledgers, secret places and letters written MM E5·01:15:46.

In MM_06 Brennan says Daisy knows exactly where the door in the library is that leads into the secret study MM E6·00:20:04. Daisy and the Vicar reorder the library busts, and a click sounds in the bookcase behind the statue of Barkus Aurelius MM E6·00:28:03 MM E6·00:29:02 MM E6·00:30:11.

Inside, Brennan says the place is dry as a bone, with a ton of metals, regalia and knickknacks, private things, and weirdly a lot of art objects MM E6·00:33:01 MM E6·00:33:40. The medal Hawkins threw into the drawer is a Medal of Valor MM E6·00:33:53. Brennan says Daisy could grab some of the ledger books, which she takes MM E6·00:35:13 MM E6·00:36:06.

In MM_08 Brennan says Daisy points out that the address in Fletcher Cottonbottom's handwriting, Gangie's old London address, came from the secret study of Squire Badger MM E8·00:18:58.
