Harding's black book of names

Daisy finds Ambrose Harding's little black book of names under the velvet bottom of a small chest of cufflinks and brooches in the closet, hidden with a long-lasting adhesive of the kind used for secret compartments MM E7·01:26:10. Brennan says these are the names that Gangie Green gave her, with dates attached in Harding's handwriting, which is "proof positive" MM E7·01:26:10. A text message from Brennan lists them in chronological order, from "Gangie DUG THESE UP FIRST, all the way back in May and June" to two names marked "RECENT" MM E7·01:26:52.

The text lists Rufus Roundear, Claude Frommage, Ramsay Rook and Sven Huginn among the first, then Gavin Stripely, Brock, Jane, Michael, Agnes and Edith Burroughs, Arthur Mossflower, and Martin and Samantha Diggory under "Badgers", with three entries marked "???", and Otis Hornsby and Bartholomew Bighorn as the most recent MM E7·01:26:52. Brennan adds that Gangie said not everyone he dug up was a badger MM E7·01:27:37. At the end of MM_07 Daisy hands the black book to Officer Nettles MM E7·02:18:59 MM E7·02:19:26.

In MM_08 Daisy says that in the book she handed to the constable, which holds the list Mr. Harding gave to Mr. Green, two bodies had to be dug up in June, Rufus Roundear and Claude Frommage MM E8·00:21:01. In MM_10 Jeremy produces the dead Ambrose Harding's book and turns to the last page, which ends "Along with Connor McCabbage." MM E10·02:29:11 MM E10·02:29:20. Brennan says that last name was the one Harding was going to give Gangie Green, to dig up the fake dead body in the Tufting Meadows graveyard MM E10·02:29:25.
