White key

Looking at a reflected double frequency line, the party sees the lines compress into the shape of a white key MEN E3·00:25:28. At the end of MEN_03 a white key emerges from shadow, glowing and humming, like a strange alien presence MEN E3·01:51:16.

The white key is a glowing, alien key, "made by a machine in the outside world", possible only with Elias Hodge's research MEN E3·01:51:16. In MEN_04 Brennan says the key is some sort of alien object that should not exist in this place, and the DA has a white slit over his heart MEN E4·00:44:27 MEN E4·00:43:47. In MEN_04 Brennan also says a white key is still floating out in the city MEN E4·01:22:09. In MEN_06 Madam Loathing calls it "our key out of being this person" MEN E6·01:03:56, and it glows in front of the party MEN E6·01:04:16. The Fix kicks off, hits her clawed hand, and snatches the key out of the air MEN E6·01:05:34. He says "Hm, that's not my job." and swallows it, feeling it deposit right in his craw MEN E6·01:06:31 MEN E6·01:06:44.
