Taffodil is Sam's horse, assigned to her when Cinnamon calls the horses 7M E3·01:35:34 7M E3·01:36:16. She speaks in a Southern voice and gladly agrees when Sam whispers about flying 7M E4·00:14:51 7M E4·00:15:02. A psychic shriek puts Sam and Taffodil to sleep in midair, and Feather Fall carries them down 7M E4·00:20:49 7M E4·00:24:05. Later Sam leaves her feather falling while she flies on with her winged boots, then geysers her back onto the bridge with wind and wakes her 7M E4·01:12:37 7M E4·01:50:09 7M E4·01:52:40. Taffodil tangles in vines during the final jump 7M E4·02:11:46.

At the masquerade she appears wearing a very elegant sequin dress in the style of Showgirls, asks whether no horses are going to the party, and plans a horse party outside with peach schnapps 7M E6·01:53:56 7M E6·01:54:03 7M E6·01:54:38. She later refuses to enter a dead city and says she will man a gunner station on the Rombosa 7M E9·01:08:27.
