Druids of the Sternwood

Alistair says that there was a time when people thought Leviathan should make its own food, so a group of sea druids tried to make a place with arable ground S2E5·00:49:57. He says a terrible forest grew instead, cursed and full of monsters, and advises avoiding it S2E5·00:49:57.

No further scenes involve the druids in Season 2; the Sternwood druids are known only through Alistair's account of the cursed forest S2E5·00:49:57.

Alistair's earlier account says the sea druids "tried" to make farmland and a cursed forest grew S2E5·00:49:57. Brennan's fuller account in LEV_02 says that enterprising pirates captured druids from the mainland and dragged them to the ship, and that once their bonds and gags were undone, the druids instead made a massive cursed forest full of wild animals, beasts and monsters LEV E2·01:54:11.

Brennan says that some say many of them left once the forest was made, while others stayed to keep it cursed and haunted to teach the pirates a lesson LEV E3·00:02:52. They called on the spirits of the trees cut down to build the ships and brought them back to violent, angry life LEV E3·00:05:05.

Brennan's Arcana reading of the Mutineer's Bell says the unfinished part of the ritual included hiding it from the druids in the forest LEV E3·01:15:46. Later Marcid speculates that the druids were sore about having to build the forest and that it might be "good old fashioned revenge" LEV E5·00:24:22.
