Moochers

Moochers are little one-inch-tall people who live outside in the yard, unlike the wealthier stewards who live inside the house TH E1·00:05:13. Bean is a member of a tribe of moochers, the heapers, who live in the compost heap in the backyard of #4 TH E1·00:05:13 TH E1·00:06:11. Bean tells Dylan that the world is not necessarily made for them and that they mostly avoid birds, spiders and rain TH E1·00:14:20 TH E1·00:14:37.

Moochers are one-inch folk who live outside the house in the yard, in communities such as the heapers and the TIk-Teks, whose leaders Master Buttons and Gyro are sisters TH E1·00:05:13 TH E1·01:07:46. Master Buttons says "Moocher" is what the stewards have always called them, not a name they chose TH E3·01:22:39. In TH_04 Bean says that as a Moocher he holds himself to a certain pride, and that it is easy to throw a Moocher TH E4·02:01:24. In TH_06 Bean says the people who live inside the house call themselves something else so as to keep the others locked out, but that they are all just moochers and bitty folk TH E6·00:18:41 TH E6·00:18:57. In the epilogue a caravan of moochers carries their belongings into Max's room, and Heapers and Tik Teks live side by side TH E6·01:53:37 TH E6·01:56:56.
